Changsha is a city where modern life blends naturally with thousands of years of history. Known as the hometown of spicy Hunan food and one of China's important cultural centers, it offers a perfect introduction to your journey.

After breakfast, your guide and private vehicle will meet you at your hotel and begin your Changsha city exploration.

Your first stop is the Hunan Museum, one of the most important museums in central China. Here, you'll discover the fascinating history of the Hunan region, including the famous Mawangdui Han Dynasty tomb discoveries. The well-preserved artifacts offer a rare glimpse into ancient Chinese life more than 2,000 years ago.

After the museum visit, enjoy lunch at a carefully selected local restaurant where you can taste authentic Hunan flavors. Our team chooses restaurants that offer a comfortable dining environment while allowing you to experience local specialties.

In the afternoon, continue to Orange Isle (Juzizhou), a beautiful island located in the middle of the Xiang River. Surrounded by water and city views, the island is a relaxing place to enjoy Changsha's natural scenery. You'll also see the impressive young Mao Zedong statue, one of the city's most recognizable landmarks.

Next, head to Yuelu Mountain, a peaceful green area combining nature, history, and culture. Walking through the forest paths, you'll visit Yuelu Academy, one of China's oldest centers of learning, where scholars have gathered for over a thousand years.

End your day with a stroll through Taiping Old Street, where traditional architecture, local snacks, and small shops create a lively atmosphere. It's a great place to experience the everyday rhythm of Changsha.

After sightseeing, your driver will take you back to your hotel.

After breakfast, your driver will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Changsha Railway Station for your high-speed train to Zhangjiajie.

The journey takes around two hours, allowing you to relax and enjoy views of countryside landscapes along the way. Upon arrival in Zhangjiajie, your local guide and driver will welcome you at the station and take you to enjoy your first introduction to this spectacular mountain region.

After lunch at a local restaurant, visit 72 Strange Buildings, a unique architectural attraction inspired by the traditional stilt houses of western Hunan's ethnic communities. The unusual stacked structures create a fascinating scene and provide a great introduction to the local culture before exploring Zhangjiajie's world-famous natural wonders.

Later, check in to your Zhangjiajie hotel and enjoy some free time. You can rest and prepare for the following days, when you will enter the incredible landscape that inspired countless visitors around the world.

Today is the highlight of your Zhangjiajie journey. After breakfast, your guide and private vehicle will pick you up from your hotel and take you to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, a UNESCO Global Geopark famous for its towering sandstone pillars, misty valleys, and dramatic landscapes.

Start your exploration in Yuanjiajie, the area that inspired the floating mountains in the movie Avatar. Take the famous Bailong Elevator, the world's highest outdoor elevator built into a cliff face, and enjoy an unforgettable ride through the mountains. Once reaching the top, panoramic views of thousands of sandstone peaks await you.

Continue to Yangjiajie, a quieter but equally impressive area known for its steep cliffs and natural rock formations. Your guide will help you find the best viewpoints and explain the legends and geological stories behind these incredible landscapes.

After lunch, continue to Tianzi Mountain, often called the "King of Peaks." The endless mountain ranges, clouds floating between the cliffs, and changing light throughout the day create one of Zhangjiajie's most beautiful scenes.

Later, walk along Golden Whip Stream, one of the most peaceful trails in the park. Unlike the dramatic viewpoints above, this valley route lets you experience the mountains from below, surrounded by clear streams, lush forests, and towering cliffs.

After breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up and take you to Tianmen Mountain Scenic Area, one of Zhangjiajie's most iconic attractions. Known as the "Soul of Zhangjiajie," Tianmen Mountain combines dramatic natural scenery with thrilling experiences. Take the famous cable car up the mountain and enjoy one of the world's longest cableway journeys, with breathtaking views of Zhangjiajie's landscapes unfolding below.

At the top, walk along the mountain paths and glass skywalks (weather permitting) while looking down into the deep valleys below. You'll also visit Tianmen Cave, the enormous natural archway hidden within the mountain, which has inspired countless stories and legends.

After the visit, your driver will transfer you to Zhangjiajie Railway Station for your train journey to Chengdu. Upon arrival, your local driver will meet you at the station and transfer you to your hotel.

Leaving behind Zhangjiajie's dramatic mountains, you'll arrive in Chengdu, a city famous for its relaxed lifestyle, spicy cuisine, and unique blend of tradition and modern life. 

After breakfast, your guide and private vehicle will pick you up from your hotel and begin exploring Chengdu, a city where ancient traditions and modern lifestyles blend effortlessly.

Start your morning at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, one of the best places in China to see giant pandas in a natural and carefully protected environment. Arriving earlier in the day gives you a better chance to watch pandas when they are most active — eating bamboo, climbing, and playing with each other. Your guide will share interesting stories about panda conservation and help you make the most of your visit.

After the panda experience, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant featuring Chengdu flavors. Beyond the famous spicy dishes, Sichuan cuisine offers a rich variety of tastes, and your guide can help you choose dishes based on your preferences.

In the afternoon, visit Wuhou Shrine, a historic site dedicated to Zhuge Liang, the legendary strategist of the Three Kingdoms period. Walking through the peaceful red-walled paths and traditional courtyards, you'll discover the stories behind one of China's most fascinating historical eras.

Continue to Jinli Ancient Street, located next to Wuhou Shrine. With traditional-style buildings, local snacks, tea houses, and craft shops, Jinli is a lively place to experience Chengdu's slower pace of life.

End the day at Kuanzhai Alley, a beautifully preserved neighborhood featuring old Qing Dynasty courtyards mixed with trendy cafes and boutiques. It's the perfect place to feel Chengdu's unique atmosphere — relaxed, cultural, and full of character.

After breakfast, your driver will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Chengdu Railway Station for your high-speed train journey to Jiuzhaigou.

The train ride takes you gradually from the lively Sichuan Basin toward the spectacular Tibetan and Qiang ethnic regions of northern Sichuan. Along the way, the scenery changes from city landscapes to mountains, valleys, and remote countryside.

Upon arrival, your local driver will meet you at the station and take you to Huanglong Scenic Area, one of Sichuan's most extraordinary natural wonders. Known for its colorful travertine pools, snow-capped mountains, and alpine forests, Huanglong looks like a natural painting created by water and minerals over thousands of years. Follow the scenic pathways and admire the layered pools shining in different shades of blue and green, surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery. After breakfast, your guide will meet you at the hotel and help you enter the park smoothly. Famous for its crystal-clear lakes, colorful forests, snow-covered peaks, and spectacular waterfalls, Jiuzhaigou is often described as a place where nature feels almost unreal.

Take the park's eco-friendly sightseeing buses between different scenic areas and explore some of its most beautiful spots, including Five Flower Lake, where fallen trees beneath the transparent water create a unique underwater landscape; Nuorilang Waterfall, one of the widest highland waterfalls in China; and Mirror Lake, where the surrounding mountains are perfectly reflected on calm days. The rest of the day is free for you to enjoy Chengdu at your own pace. You may choose to explore local neighborhoods, visit a traditional tea house, try more Sichuan specialties, or simply relax after your journey through the mountains. Your China adventure comes to an end today. According to your flight schedule, your private driver will pick you up from your Chengdu hotel and transfer you comfortably to Chengdu Tianfu International Airport or Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport.
