Your guide will introduce the pandas' daily habits, conservation efforts, and Chengdu's important role in protecting this beloved species.

Unlike modern dams, this ancient water-control project uses natural landscapes and clever design to manage rivers and irrigate the fertile Chengdu Plain. Walking through the historic site, you will learn how this incredible achievement transformed the region's development.

Continue to Qingcheng Mountain, one of the birthplaces of Taoism and one of China's most famous Taoist mountains. Surrounded by dense forests, peaceful paths, and ancient temples, the mountain offers a tranquil atmosphere that perfectly reflects Taoist philosophy and the harmony between humans and nature.

In the evening, enjoy the beautiful Nanqiao Night View in Dujiangyan, where colorful lights illuminate the ancient bridge and riverside scenery, creating a relaxing atmosphere after a day of cultural exploration.

Accommodation Accommodation:
4-star/5-star standard room
MealMeal:

After breakfast, transfer to Chengdu Railway Station and take a high-speed train to Chongqing, one of China's most distinctive cities. Built between mountains and rivers, Chongqing is famous for its dramatic terrain, layered streets, and vibrant urban atmosphere.

Upon arrival, explore the iconic Hongya Cave Folk Custom Area, a riverside landmark that combines traditional Bayu-style architecture with modern city life. Built along the hillside overlooking the Jialing River, the illuminated buildings create one of Chongqing's most spectacular night scenes.

Later, walk across or admire the view of Qiansimen Bridge, one of the city's most recognizable bridges. With Hongya Cave glowing beneath and skyscrapers rising around the rivers, the scene perfectly captures Chongqing's unique charm as a "mountain city."

Accommodation Accommodation:
4-star/5-star standard room
MealMeal:
Free choice to explore local cuisine with guide recommendations

Continue to Liziba Station, where the light rail famously passes directly through a residential building. This unusual transportation design reflects how Chongqing has adapted creatively to its challenging mountainous environment.

Visit Baixiangju, a historic residential complex that has become a popular photography spot for its layered architecture and stunning city views. Here you can experience the everyday side of Chongqing life away from the modern commercial districts.

End your day at Huguang Guild Hall, a beautifully preserved historical complex that reflects Chongqing's role as an important trading center in ancient China.

Surrounded by cliffs, forests, and traditional landscapes, this area showcases the incredible power of nature and is one of China's most impressive karst wonders.

Continue to Longshuixia Fissure, a dramatic canyon known for its narrow passages, towering cliffs, waterfalls, and pristine natural environment. Walking through the gorge allows you to experience the scale and beauty of this hidden geological masterpiece.

In the evening, take a high-speed train to Zhangjiajie and prepare for the next stage of your mountain adventure.

The highlight of the day is the spectacular Tianmen Cave, a massive natural arch carved into the mountain. Known as the "Gateway to Heaven," this extraordinary formation has become one of China's most recognizable natural landmarks.

Later, visit Huangshi Village, one of the best places to enjoy panoramic views of Zhangjiajie's famous sandstone peaks. From the mountaintop viewpoints, admire the endless landscape of cliffs, forests, and valleys stretching across the national park.

Enjoy your final evening surrounded by Zhangjiajie's incredible scenery.

A Fascinating Glimpse into Shenzhen's Future with an Excellent Guide

We had a fantastic day exploring Shenzhen's technology scene, and it was one of the most memorable experiences of our trip to China.

Everything was very well organized, from the hotel pickup to the comfortable private vehicle. What we appreciated most was that the day never felt rushed. Our guide gave us plenty of time to experience each activity and was always happy to explain how the technology worked.

The driverless taxi was definitely a highlight. Sitting inside and watching the car navigate the city without a driver was both fascinating and slightly surreal! We also really enjoyed the hands-on robot experiences, especially trying the exoskeleton and interacting with the robot dog. Seeing a delivery drone actually arrive with food made the whole experience feel even more futuristic.

Our guide was wonderful throughout the day—knowledgeable, friendly, and with excellent English. She made the technology easy to understand without turning the tour into a technical lecture.

If you're looking for something beyond Shenzhen's usual sightseeing spots, we highly recommend this tour. It's a fun and very different way to experience how technology is shaping everyday life in the city.

The trains made the route surprisingly easy

We have just finished our 21-day trip through China, and it was an amazing experience from beginning to end. We saw so many different sides of the country — the pandas and relaxed atmosphere in Chengdu, the history of Xi'an, the energy of Chongqing, the incredible mountains in Zhangjiajie, and then the beautiful landscapes around Guilin and Yangshuo.

What made the trip much easier was the support from our guides and drivers in each destination. They were always on time, helpful with our luggage and transportation, and happy to answer questions. The drivers were particularly good at navigating busy city traffic and mountain roads, and we always felt safe in the cars.

The high-speed trains were comfortable, and having someone meet us at the stations took away a lot of the stress of traveling between cities. It was a long trip, but the pace worked well for us. There were busy sightseeing days, followed by some slower time to relax and explore on our own.

By the end, we were tired but very happy. China is much more diverse than we expected, and this trip gave us a wonderful introduction to it.

A Lovely Walk Through Old Qingdao

We had a very warm day for our tour, but everything was arranged so smoothly that the weather didn't cause any problems. Our guide, Elodie, was friendly and knew a lot about Qingdao's history. She gave us some background before each stop, which made the old buildings much more interesting instead of just looking at them from the outside.

Our driver was also excellent. He handled the city traffic confidently and we felt very comfortable throughout the day. The route was well planned, with enough time to walk around Badaguan, explore the Governor's House, and visit St. Michael's Church.

I especially liked Badaguan because of the old villas and tree-lined streets. It feels quite different from the busier parts of Qingdao. Overall, it was an easy and enjoyable way to discover the city's architectural heritage in a single day.

A Wonderful Introduction to Shandong's History and Culture

My wife and I have travelled to China several times, but this was our first time visiting Shandong. We wanted to see more than the usual big cities, and this three-day journey through Jinan, Qufu and Mount Tai turned out to be an excellent choice.

What I enjoyed most was the variety of the trip. Jinan has such a relaxed atmosphere, especially around the springs and old streets. It was fascinating to see how the spring water is still part of everyday life rather than simply something preserved for tourists. The city felt very different from Beijing or Shanghai, and we were glad to have included it.

Qufu gave us a completely different experience. I have always been interested in Chinese history and philosophy, so visiting the hometown of Confucius was particularly meaningful. The historic sites are impressive, but having someone explain the background and traditions made them much easier to appreciate. Without that context, I think we would have missed many of the details.

Mount Tai was the real finale of the trip. We knew there would be quite a bit of walking, but the combination of mountain scenery, ancient inscriptions and historic temples made the effort worthwhile. The views changed constantly as we went higher, and the atmosphere near the top was something I will remember for a long time.

I would also like to mention how smoothly everything was organized. Our driver was punctual, the car was comfortable, and all the transfers between cities were handled without any stress. After a full day of sightseeing, it was particularly nice to simply get into the car and know that everything had already been taken care of.

Our travel consultant was also extremely helpful during the planning stage. We had quite a few questions about the route, transportation and how much time we should allow for Mount Tai, and every question was answered patiently. The itinerary felt well balanced rather than rushed, which is important to us as we prefer to actually enjoy a place instead of simply collecting photographs.

This trip gave us a very different perspective on China. Jinan showed us the everyday charm of a city built around its springs, Qufu introduced us to one of the most influential figures in Chinese history, and Mount Tai brought together nature, religion and centuries of tradition.

For anyone interested in Chinese history and culture, I would certainly recommend spending a few days exploring this part of Shandong. It was a memorable journey, and one that felt very different from our previous trips to China.
