Your Fujian adventure begins when you arrive in Xiamen from Singapore. After landing, your private driver will meet you at Xiamen Airport and transfer you comfortably to your hotel. Once you have checked in, the rest of the day is yours to relax after the flight.

Depending on your arrival time, you can enjoy a simple local lunch before or after hotel check-in, with your guide happy to recommend nearby options.

Take the evening slowly. Xiamen is one of those cities that doesn't demand to be rushed, and a gentle walk around your hotel area is a pleasant way to get your first taste of its laid-back coastal atmosphere.

Day 2 | Xiamen: Zengcuo'an Village, Huandao Road, Yanwu Bridge & Shapowei

Accommodation Accommodation:
4-star/5-star standard room
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, your guide and private vehicle will pick you up from your hotel and take you along Xiamen's scenic southern coastline, where lively neighborhoods, open sea views, historic waterfronts, and creative urban spaces come together.

Begin your day at Zengcuo'an Village, a former fishing village now known for its colorful lanes, local snack stalls, cafés, and small independent shops. Wander through the lively streets and enjoy the village's relaxed coastal atmosphere before continuing along Huandao Road, one of Xiamen's most scenic seaside routes. With the ocean on one side and green hills and city views on the other, the road offers plenty of beautiful spots for photos and a refreshing seaside walk.

Continue to the Yanwu Bridge Viewing Platform, one of the best places to admire Xiamen's modern coastline. From here, you can enjoy sweeping views of the sea, the bridge, and the city skyline. After taking in the scenery, stop at a local restaurant to savor Fujian-style dishes and fresh regional flavors.

In the afternoon, explore Shapowei Art Zone, a former fishing harbor that has evolved into one of Xiamen's most distinctive cultural neighborhoods. Old waterfront buildings, creative studios, cafés, murals, and independent shops create a lively contrast between the area's fishing heritage and its modern artistic character. Take your time strolling along the harbor and discovering the unique atmosphere of this popular local landmark.

Day 3 | Xiamen to Wuyishan by High-Speed Train: Wuyi Mountain Resort

Accommodation Accommodation:
4-star/5-star standard room

Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, you'll be picked up at your Xiamen hotel and transferred to the railway station for your high-speed train to Wuyishan. The journey gives you a comfortable change of scenery as the coastal landscape gradually gives way to the greener mountains of northern Fujian.

On arrival, your driver will meet you at the station and provide a private transfer to your hotel. After check-in, keep the afternoon relaxed. You can stroll around the Wuyi Mountain Resort area, enjoy a cup of local tea, or simply rest at the hotel and save your energy for the mountain scenery ahead.

Day 4 | Wuyishan: Tianyou Peak, Wuyi Palace & Song Street

Accommodation Accommodation:
4-star/5-star standard room
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, your guide and private vehicle will pick you up from the hotel and take you into Wuyishan Scenic Area, where dramatic mountain scenery and centuries of cultural heritage come together.

Begin your day at Tianyou Peak, one of the most rewarding viewpoints in Wuyi Mountain. The trail winds through lush forests and along rugged red cliffs, gradually revealing sweeping views of the Nine-Bend River and the surrounding peaks. As you climb higher, the landscape opens up in layers, offering a wonderful sense of the scale and beauty of Wuyishan.

After your morning hike, stop at a nearby local restaurant for lunch and take some time to relax before continuing with the afternoon's sightseeing. Your private vehicle will be ready to take you onward, allowing you to travel comfortably between the different sites.

In the afternoon, visit Wuyi Palace, a historic site closely connected with the cultural and religious traditions of Wuyi Mountain. Surrounded by peaceful scenery, it offers a quieter contrast to the mountain trails. Later, take a leisurely walk along Song Street, where traditional-style buildings, local shops, and tea houses provide a glimpse into the area's heritage and everyday life.

At the end of the day, your driver will take you back to the hotel, giving you a comfortable return after a full day of exploring. With its combination of mountain views, historic sites, and local atmosphere, today offers a well-rounded introduction to the natural and cultural character of Wuyishan.

Day 5 | Wuyishan: Nine-Bend River, Dahongpao Tea & Impression Dahongpao

Accommodation Accommodation:
4-star/5-star standard room
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

Today brings together two of Wuyishan's most distinctive experiences: its breathtaking mountain scenery and its celebrated tea culture.

After breakfast, your guide and private vehicle will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the Nine-Bend River. Weather and river conditions permitting, you'll board a traditional bamboo raft and drift gently through the river's famous bends. Towering red cliffs rise on either side, while the calm water reflects the surrounding peaks, creating a peaceful and unforgettable way to experience the beauty of Wuyi Mountain.

Once you finish the rafting experience, enjoy a delicious local lunch at a nearby restaurant. It's the perfect opportunity to sample regional specialties and take a relaxing break before continuing with the afternoon's activities.

Next, head to the Dahongpao Scenic Area, where you'll discover the history and craftsmanship behind Wuyi Rock Tea. As you walk through the tea-growing landscape, your guide will introduce you to the unique environment that gives Dahongpao its distinctive roasted aroma and rich, mineral character. A tea tasting will allow you to appreciate these flavors for yourself while learning more about the traditions that have shaped Wuyishan's tea culture.

After dinner, your private vehicle will take you to the theater for the spectacular Impression Dahongpao live performance. Set against the surrounding mountains, the show combines music, light, local traditions, and tea culture, transforming the natural landscape into part of the stage. At the end of the performance, you'll be comfortably transferred back to your hotel, bringing this memorable day in Wuyishan to a close.

Day 6 | Wuyishan → Nanjing Tulou by High-Speed Train

Accommodation Accommodation:
4-star/5-star standard room
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, your private driver will pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to the railway station for your high-speed train to Nanjing Tulou. As the train leaves Wuyishan behind, the dramatic mountain scenery gradually gives way to the greener hills and peaceful countryside of southern Fujian.

Depending on your train schedule, you can enjoy lunch before departure or after arriving in Nanjing Tulou. Once you reach the station, your local driver will be waiting to meet you and continue the journey by private vehicle. The drive to the Tulou area takes around 30–40 minutes, passing through quiet villages and rolling countryside along the way.

After checking into your hotel, the rest of the afternoon is yours to slow down and enjoy the peaceful rural surroundings. Take a gentle walk nearby, admire the green hills, or simply relax at the hotel and enjoy a quieter pace after the morning's journey.

Day 7 | Nanjing Tulou: Tianluokeng, Yuchang Building & Taxia Village

Accommodation Accommodation:
4-star/5-star standard room
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, your guide and private vehicle will pick you up from the hotel and take you into the heart of the Nanjing Tulou countryside. Today, you'll discover some of the most remarkable examples of Hakka architecture, set among lush mountains and traditional villages.

Start at the famous Tianluokeng Tulou Cluster, known as “Four Dishes and One Soup.” Viewed from the hillside, the five earthen buildings seem almost perfectly arranged within the surrounding green landscape. The combination of unusual architecture and mountain scenery makes this one of the most memorable viewpoints in the Tulou area.

After exploring the cluster, enjoy a local lunch in the countryside. Traditional Hakka dishes offer a delicious introduction to the flavors of this rural part of Fujian before you continue to the next village.

Your journey then takes you to Yuchang Building, one of the oldest and most distinctive tulou structures in the region. Its famously tilted wooden columns give the building a fascinating character, while the surrounding countryside adds to the sense of stepping into another era.

Later, stroll through Taxia Village, where a clear stream, old stone bridges, traditional houses, and tree-covered hills create a wonderfully peaceful setting. Rather than rushing through, take your time wandering along the village paths and enjoying the slower rhythm of rural life.

As the afternoon comes to an end, your driver will take you back to the hotel, leaving you with a quiet evening to relax.

Day 8 | Nanjing Tulou: Yunshuiyao Ancient Village, Hegui Building & Huaiyuan Building

Accommodation Accommodation:
4-star/5-star standard room
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, your guide and private vehicle will pick you up from the hotel and set out for Yunshuiyao Ancient Village, one of the most atmospheric places in the Tulou region.

The village is especially beautiful for its natural setting. Ancient banyan trees stretch over the riverside paths, while old stone lanes follow the water through clusters of traditional Hakka houses. Take a leisurely walk beneath the trees and along the stream, enjoying the combination of greenery, water, and historic architecture.

Around midday, stop at a local restaurant for lunch and try some traditional Hakka specialties. The relaxed countryside setting makes it a pleasant break before continuing your exploration.

In the afternoon, visit Hegui Building, an impressive tulou surrounded by green hills and open farmland. Continue to Huaiyuan Building, where well-preserved architectural details provide a closer look at the craftsmanship and family traditions behind these remarkable earthen homes.

By the end of the day, you'll have experienced not only the architecture of the Tulou villages but also the landscape and everyday atmosphere that have shaped Hakka life here for generations. Your private vehicle will then take you back to the hotel for a relaxing evening.

Day 9 | Nanjing Tulou to Quanzhou by Private Car: Kaiyuan Temple & West Street

Accommodation Accommodation:
4-star/5-star standard room
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and meet your private driver for the journey from Nanjing Tulou to Quanzhou. The drive takes approximately 2 hours, giving you a comfortable transition from the quiet mountain countryside to the historic coastal city.

Along the way, you'll see the landscape gradually change as the green hills open into lower coastal plains. Depending on your schedule, you can stop for lunch during the journey or enjoy your first Quanzhou meal after arriving in the city.

In the afternoon, begin exploring Quanzhou Ancient City with a visit to Kaiyuan Temple. Its historic halls, impressive twin pagodas, and peaceful courtyards offer a fascinating introduction to the city's long religious and cultural history.

From the temple, continue on foot toward West Street, one of Quanzhou's most atmospheric old streets. Traditional shopfronts, small food stalls, old residences, and historic buildings line the street, creating an appealing mix of heritage and everyday life.

Take your time trying local snacks or stopping for a cup of tea before your driver takes you to your hotel for check-in and a well-earned rest.

Day 10 | Quanzhou: Qingjing Mosque, Confucian Temple, Tianhou Temple & Old Streets

Accommodation Accommodation:
4-star/5-star standard room
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, your guide and private vehicle will pick you up from the hotel and take you deeper into Quanzhou's Maritime Silk Road heritage. Few places in China reveal such a fascinating blend of cultures, religions, and trading traditions.

Begin at Qingjing Mosque, one of the city's most important reminders of its historic connections with the Islamic world. The ancient stone structures provide a striking contrast to the traditional Chinese architecture found elsewhere in the old city.

Continue to the Confucian Temple, where elegant traditional buildings and peaceful courtyards offer a different perspective on Quanzhou's cultural history. By now, you'll begin to see how many different traditions have shaped the city over the centuries.

After a morning of sightseeing, stop for lunch at a local restaurant and sample some of Quanzhou's distinctive dishes. With the old city surrounding you, it's an ideal chance to experience the local food culture rather than simply sightseeing from one attraction to another.

In the afternoon, visit Tianhou Temple, dedicated to Mazu, the goddess traditionally worshipped by sailors and coastal communities. Continue through the surrounding old streets, where temples, traditional houses, small shops, and food stalls bring Quanzhou's maritime past into everyday life.

Your driver will then take you back to the hotel, leaving you free to enjoy a relaxed evening in the old city.

Day 11 | Quanzhou: Xunpu Village & Luoyang Bridge

Accommodation Accommodation:
4-star/5-star standard room
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, your guide and private vehicle will take you from your hotel toward Xunpu Village, a coastal community where traditional fishing culture remains an important part of local identity.

As you walk through the village, look out for the distinctive oyster-shell houses, whose unusual walls reflect the close relationship between local architecture and the sea. The narrow lanes and traditional homes offer a quieter side of Quanzhou, away from the main attractions of the old city.

After exploring the village, enjoy lunch featuring fresh local flavors before continuing along the coast toward Luoyang Bridge.

Built centuries ago, Luoyang Bridge is an impressive example of ancient Chinese stone-bridge engineering. Walking across the bridge, you can appreciate both its remarkable construction and its setting beside the water. The surrounding coastal landscape makes it especially enjoyable in the softer afternoon light.

After taking in the scenery, your private vehicle will return you to your Quanzhou hotel, giving you a comfortable end to another day of coastal and cultural exploration.

Day 12 | Quanzhou Leisure Day

Accommodation Accommodation:
4-star/5-star standard room
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

Today, you can leave the itinerary open and experience Quanzhou at your own pace. After several days of exploring temples, villages, and historic sites, a slower day gives you the chance to discover the city in your own way.

You might begin with a relaxed morning walk through the old city, return to a favorite street, browse a traditional market, or settle into a small local tea shop. If food is high on your list, Quanzhou is also a great place to spend the day sampling local noodles, snacks, seafood, and other Fujian specialties.

For lunch, choose somewhere that catches your eye, or ask your guide to recommend a local favorite based on what you would like to try. There's no need to hurry—you can turn lunch into part of the experience and spend the afternoon exploring nearby streets or relaxing at a café.

Your private driver can assist with transportation if you decide to visit places outside the old city, while the rest of the day remains completely flexible. Return to your hotel whenever you're ready and enjoy a peaceful evening in Quanzhou.

Day 13 | Quanzhou to Xiamen by Private Car: Jimei School Village & Shili Changdi

Accommodation Accommodation:
4-star/5-star standard room
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, your private driver will pick you up from your Quanzhou hotel and begin the journey to Xiamen. The drive offers another chance to watch the scenery change from Quanzhou's historic streets to Xiamen's coastal surroundings.

Depending on your schedule, stop for lunch along the way or enjoy a local meal after arriving in Xiamen. Once you reach the city, continue to Jimei School Village, a distinctive cultural area known for its beautiful architecture and the legacy of educator Chen Jiageng.

The buildings here combine traditional Chinese architectural elements with Western influences, creating a unique style that stands out against the surrounding greenery and waterways. Take a leisurely walk through the area and enjoy the quieter atmosphere.

In the afternoon, continue to Shili Changdi, where the open waterfront provides a refreshing change of scenery. With the sea breeze, broad views, and long coastal paths, it's a lovely place to slow down and enjoy Xiamen's relaxed character.

Afterward, your driver will take you to your hotel for check-in, giving you the evening free to explore the city or simply rest.

Day 14 | Xiamen: Gulangyu Island, Shuzhuang Garden & Historic Streets

Accommodation Accommodation:
4-star/5-star standard room
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, your guide and private vehicle will pick you up from the hotel and take you to the ferry terminal for your journey to Gulangyu Island. As the ferry crosses the water, Xiamen's skyline gradually recedes, and the atmosphere begins to feel noticeably slower.

Once you arrive, leave the traffic behind and explore the island on foot. Gulangyu is known for its historic buildings, leafy lanes, quiet courtyards, and beautiful sea views. As you wander through the narrow streets, you'll encounter old villas and architectural details that reflect the island's fascinating international history.

Around midday, enjoy lunch on the island. You'll find plenty of local restaurants and small cafés where you can take a relaxed break before continuing your walk.

In the afternoon, visit Shuzhuang Garden, where carefully designed gardens meet the coastline. The combination of landscaped paths, traditional architecture, rocks, and open sea creates one of the island's most scenic settings.

Take your time exploring the historic streets afterward. There's something particularly enjoyable about simply walking without a fixed route here—turn down a quiet lane, stop for a drink, and let the island reveal itself gradually.

When you're ready to return, your guide will assist you with the ferry back to Xiamen, where your private driver will meet you and take you back to the hotel.

Day 15 | Xiamen: Hulishan Fortress, Baicheng Beach & Yanwu Bridge

Accommodation Accommodation:
4-star/5-star standard room
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, your guide and private vehicle will pick you up from your hotel and take you along Xiamen's southern coastline, where history and seaside scenery come together.

Begin at Hulishan Fortress, a historic coastal defense site overlooking the sea. As you explore the old fortifications, you can also enjoy views across the water and get a sense of Xiamen's strategic importance as a coastal city.

After the morning visit, stop at a local restaurant for lunch and enjoy some Fujian specialties. It's a chance to take a break before continuing along the coast.

Next, head to Baicheng Beach, where the atmosphere becomes much more relaxed. Walk along the shoreline, enjoy the sea breeze, or simply take in the views across the water. The beach provides a pleasant contrast to the historical atmosphere of the fortress.

Continue toward the Yanwu Bridge coastal area in the afternoon. From here, the modern bridge, city skyline, and open sea create one of Xiamen's most recognizable coastal scenes. If the weather is clear, the changing light over the water makes the area particularly beautiful toward the later part of the day.

After enjoying the coastline, your driver will take you back to the hotel for a relaxed evening.

Day 16 | Xiamen Free Day

Accommodation Accommodation:
4-star/5-star standard room
MealMeal:

Your final full day in Fujian is free for you to enjoy Xiamen at your own pace. You may spend the day shopping, exploring local cafés, trying Fujian specialties, or taking a relaxing walk by the sea.

Your private vehicle remains available if needed. Return to your hotel in the evening and enjoy your final night in Xiamen.

What Our Travelers Say

Much more fun than I expected

I booked this mostly because my husband is obsessed with anything involving AI, but I ended up enjoying it just as much. The driverless taxi was the biggest surprise — sitting inside and watching the car make its own decisions felt a little strange at first! The robot dog was also hilarious. Our guide explained things without making it feel like a technology lecture, which I really appreciated.

Thanks, Eamon! We love hearing that the tour surprised you in the best way. The driverless taxi can feel a little odd at first, but once you settle in, it's a pretty memorable experience. Glad you both had fun exploring Shenzhen's tech side!

The trains made the route surprisingly easy

I had never traveled around China by high-speed train before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Once we got the hang of it, it was actually one of the easiest parts of the trip. Having someone meet us at the stations was especially helpful because some of the stations are enormous. We could just get off the train, find our driver and move on.

Thanks, Marlowe! Glad to hear our train journeys turned out to be easier than expected. Those big stations can definitely feel a bit overwhelming at first, so it's great to hear that having our driver there made things smoother. Hope you enjoyed the rest of the trip!

A Photographer's Kind of Day

If you like old architecture, bring a camera. Badaguan was probably my favorite part because every street seemed to have a slightly different look. The church and railway station were also great photo stops. I liked that the tour wasn't only about famous sights — there was plenty of time to notice small details along the way.

Thanks, Soren! We're delighted that the architectural side of Qingdao caught your eye. The city has so many small details that are easy to miss when you're in a hurry.

Definitely earned its reputation

I knew Mount Tai would be the big highlight for me, but it was still better than expected. The views kept changing as we went higher, and there was something really special about seeing the old temples and inscriptions along the mountain. The whole trip was also very well organized. We had enough time at each place without feeling like we were constantly watching the clock.
