Day 1 | Hangzhou to Shaoxing by Private Vehicle: Explore Lu Xun Hometown, East Lake & Cangqiao Straight Street

Accommodation Accommodation:
4-star/5-star standard room
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

Your journey begins with a comfortable pickup from your Hangzhou hotel. Our private driver will meet you at the lobby and take you directly to Shaoxing, a historic water town only about 1 hour away from Hangzhou. Unlike many traditional Jiangnan towns that focus mainly on canals and old streets, Shaoxing has a deeper cultural atmosphere. It is the hometown of famous writer Lu Xun and one of the most important historical cities in Zhejiang, where ancient bridges, waterways, yellow rice wine culture, and traditional neighborhoods still blend naturally into daily life.

After arriving in Shaoxing, you'll enjoy lunch at a carefully selected local restaurant. We recommend trying authentic Shaoxing dishes such as Shaoxing yellow wine chicken, stinky tofu, and local river delicacies. Our team will help choose restaurants that balance authentic flavors with a comfortable dining environment.

After lunch, begin your exploration with Lu Xun Hometown, where you can walk along the same stone paths described in his famous writings. The old houses, black-tiled roofs, and narrow waterways give you a glimpse into what traditional Jiangnan life looked like more than a century ago.

Continue to East Lake (Donghu Scenic Area), one of Shaoxing's most beautiful hidden gems. Different from the crowded scenery of West Lake, East Lake feels quieter and more intimate. The lake is surrounded by dramatic rock cliffs, traditional boats, and peaceful water reflections. Taking a black-awning boat ride here is one of the best ways to experience Shaoxing's slow-paced lifestyle.

In the late afternoon, you'll visit Cangqiao Straight Street, a charming historic neighborhood where old houses, canals, and local shops create a relaxed evening atmosphere. This is a perfect place to slow down, enjoy a cup of tea, and watch local life unfold.

After sightseeing, your driver will take you to your hotel in Shaoxing. Spend the evening at leisure and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this authentic Jiangnan city.

Day 2 | Shaoxing to Huangshan by Private Vehicle: Explore Hongcun Ancient Village

Accommodation Accommodation:
4-star/5-star standard room
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast at your hotel, your private driver will pick you up and begin the journey from Shaoxing to Huangshan. The drive takes approximately 4–5 hours, but the scenery along the way gradually changes from Jiangnan waterways to the mountains and villages of southern Anhui.

We know this transfer day can feel long, so instead of arranging a rushed schedule, we plan the route at a comfortable pace with a local lunch stop on the way. You'll have time to relax in the vehicle and enjoy the changing landscapes outside your window.

After arriving near Huangshan, you'll first explore Hongcun Village, one of the most beautiful ancient villages in China and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Walking into Hongcun feels like entering a traditional Chinese ink painting. White-walled houses with dark roofs surround peaceful ponds, narrow stone lanes connect centuries-old residences, and the reflection of the village in the water creates the iconic scenery that photographers love. Unlike simply taking photos at the entrance, we recommend slowing down and exploring the village's hidden corners. You'll discover the carefully designed water system, ancient family halls, and quiet alleys where local residents still live today.

In the evening, you' ll stay overnight in Hongcun, allowing you to experience the village after most day visitors leave. When the lanterns light up and the streets become quiet, Hongcun reveals another side of its beauty — peaceful, romantic, and almost timeless.

Day 3 | Huangshan: Explore Yellow Mountain Scenic Area

Accommodation Accommodation:
4-star/5-star standard room
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, your private driver will take you to the Huangshan Mountain entrance. Before starting your hike, our team will help arrange the necessary tickets and cable car options in advance, so you can focus on enjoying the scenery instead of dealing with queues and logistics.

Huangshan is one of China's most iconic mountain landscapes, famous for its uniquely shaped granite peaks, ancient pine trees, mysterious sea of clouds, and changing light throughout the day. While many travelers visit Huangshan as a rushed day trip, staying overnight on the mountain allows you to experience its most magical moments — sunset, sunrise, and the quiet atmosphere after the crowds leave.

Depending on your fitness level and travel preference, we will help choose the most suitable hiking route. For a more comfortable experience, most guests take the cable car up and combine moderate walking routes to enjoy the highlights without excessive physical strain.

During your hike, you'll explore some of Huangshan's most famous viewpoints, such as Beginning-to-Believe Peak, Black Tiger Pine, Bright Summit, and Flying Stone. Along the way, every turn reveals a different mountain view — towering cliffs, endless peaks, and pine trees growing naturally from the rocks. Our guide will not simply lead you from one viewpoint to another. They will share stories behind Huangshan's famous landscapes, explain the best photo angles, and adjust the pace according to your energy level and weather conditions.

In the late afternoon, you'll arrive at your summit hotel. After settling in, enjoy the unforgettable moment when the golden sunlight slowly covers the mountain peaks. Watching Huangshan's sunset from above the clouds is one of the experiences that makes an overnight stay truly worthwhile.

Tonight, you'll stay on Huangshan Mountain, allowing you to wake up early tomorrow for one of China's most beautiful sunrises.

Day 4 | Huangshan to Wuyuan by Private Vehicle: Sunrise at Huangshan, Descend the Mountain & Enjoy Wuyuan Night Experience

Accommodation Accommodation:
4-star/5-star standard room
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

Wake up early today for one of the highlights of your journey — Huangshan sunrise. Depending on your hotel location and weather conditions, our guide will recommend the best nearby viewing platform. Watching the first sunlight appear over the layers of mountains is a peaceful and unforgettable experience. The sky gradually changes from soft morning colors to golden light, illuminating the sea of clouds below.

After enjoying the sunrise and breakfast at the summit hotel, you'll begin your descent from Huangshan. The downhill journey is more relaxed, giving you another chance to appreciate the mountain scenery from a different perspective.

After leaving Huangshan, your private vehicle will take you toward Wuyuan, one of the most beautiful countryside destinations in Jiangxi. The drive takes around 2–3 hours, and the scenery gradually changes from dramatic mountains to peaceful villages and farmland.

Upon arrival in Wuyuan, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Our team will help you choose authentic Jiangxi dishes, introducing you to local flavors that are often missed on standard tours.

In the afternoon, take some time to relax or explore the surrounding area at a comfortable pace. As evening arrives, you'll experience Wuyuan's charming night atmosphere. Depending on the season and performance schedule, we can arrange visits to local night shows or cultural performances, where traditional architecture, lights, music, and storytelling come together to create a memorable countryside evening. Unlike busy city attractions, Wuyuan at night feels calm and atmospheric. Walking through illuminated ancient streets and watching reflections on the water allows you to experience the slower rhythm of rural China.

After the evening experience, your driver will take you back to your hotel for a comfortable rest.

Day 5 | Wuyuan: Huangling Village Experience

Accommodation Accommodation:
N/A (Flexible, can be included based on your needs)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, your private vehicle will take you to Huangling Village (Huangling Scenic Area), one of the most famous countryside destinations in China.

Built along the mountainside, Huangling is known for its unique Hui-style architecture and breathtaking views of traditional villages surrounded by green mountains. The village's most iconic scene is the colorful display of crops drying on wooden balconies, especially during autumn when rooftops are decorated with pumpkins, chili peppers, and harvested grains. But Huangling is more than just a photo spot. Walking through the village, you'll discover old houses, stone pathways, traditional workshops, and quiet corners where local life continues naturally.

To enjoy the best views, we recommend taking your time along the mountain paths and viewpoints instead of simply following the main route. The panoramic view from above allows you to see the entire village layout — white walls, black tiles, green mountains, and layers of farmland stretching into the distance.

For lunch, enjoy local countryside cuisine inside the scenic area or at a nearby restaurant. We will arrange a comfortable dining option so you can enjoy regional flavors without spending time searching for restaurants.

In the afternoon, you can continue exploring Huangling or visit nearby villages depending on your interests and the season. During spring, Wuyuan is famous for its golden rapeseed flowers; in autumn, it becomes a paradise for photographers; throughout the year, its peaceful village atmosphere remains its greatest charm.

Return to Wuyuan in the evening and enjoy another relaxing night in this beautiful countryside destination.

Day 6 | Wuyuan to Wangxiangu by Private Vehicle

Accommodation Accommodation:
4-star/5-star standard room
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, your private driver will pick you up and continue your journey toward Wangxiangu Valley, one of eastern China's most unique newly popular destinations. The drive takes approximately 2–3 hours, and along the way, you'll gradually leave behind traditional villages and enter a landscape of mountains, forests, and valleys.

After arrival, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before entering Wangxiangu Scenic Area. Unlike traditional ancient towns, Wangxiangu creates a completely different atmosphere. Built between mountains and cliffs, the scenic area combines traditional Chinese architectural elements with natural landscapes. Wooden houses hang along the mountainside, streams flow through the valley, and lanterns illuminate the entire area after sunset.

Walking through Wangxiangu feels like stepping into a Chinese fantasy painting. You can cross wooden bridges, explore cliffside paths, listen to the sound of flowing water, and discover different viewpoints hidden throughout the valley.

The most beautiful time here is from late afternoon into the evening. As daylight fades, the lights gradually turn on, transforming the valley into a magical world. The reflections on the water, glowing wooden buildings, and mountain backdrop create one of the most impressive night scenes on this route.

Our team recommends staying until after dark because the atmosphere changes completely compared with daytime. We will also help plan the best walking route and timing, allowing you to avoid unnecessary backtracking.

Tonight, stay near Wangxiangu so you can fully enjoy the evening scenery without worrying about transportation.

Day 7 | Wangxiangu to Hangzhou by Private Vehicle: Enjoy a Relaxed Return Journey

Accommodation Accommodation:
N/A (Flexible, can be included based on your needs)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

Enjoy a slower morning today. After breakfast, you'll have some free time to revisit the peaceful valley atmosphere, take final photos, or simply enjoy a quiet moment surrounded by mountains. Your private driver will then take you back to Hangzhou. The journey takes approximately 4–5 hours, with a comfortable stop arranged along the way for lunch.

Instead of ending the trip with a rushed transfer, we keep the final day flexible and comfortable. You can relax in the vehicle, review the unforgettable moments from the past week, and watch the scenery change from Jiangxi countryside back to the familiar landscapes of Zhejiang.

Upon arrival in Hangzhou, we will drop you off at your hotel or preferred location, marking the end of your 7-day private journey through some of eastern China's most beautiful destinations.

A Fascinating Glimpse into Shenzhen's Future with an Excellent Guide

We had a fantastic day exploring Shenzhen's technology scene, and it was one of the most memorable experiences of our trip to China.

Everything was very well organized, from the hotel pickup to the comfortable private vehicle. What we appreciated most was that the day never felt rushed. Our guide gave us plenty of time to experience each activity and was always happy to explain how the technology worked.

The driverless taxi was definitely a highlight. Sitting inside and watching the car navigate the city without a driver was both fascinating and slightly surreal! We also really enjoyed the hands-on robot experiences, especially trying the exoskeleton and interacting with the robot dog. Seeing a delivery drone actually arrive with food made the whole experience feel even more futuristic.

Our guide was wonderful throughout the day—knowledgeable, friendly, and with excellent English. She made the technology easy to understand without turning the tour into a technical lecture.

If you're looking for something beyond Shenzhen's usual sightseeing spots, we highly recommend this tour. It's a fun and very different way to experience how technology is shaping everyday life in the city.

The trains made the route surprisingly easy

We have just finished our 21-day trip through China, and it was an amazing experience from beginning to end. We saw so many different sides of the country — the pandas and relaxed atmosphere in Chengdu, the history of Xi'an, the energy of Chongqing, the incredible mountains in Zhangjiajie, and then the beautiful landscapes around Guilin and Yangshuo.

What made the trip much easier was the support from our guides and drivers in each destination. They were always on time, helpful with our luggage and transportation, and happy to answer questions. The drivers were particularly good at navigating busy city traffic and mountain roads, and we always felt safe in the cars.

The high-speed trains were comfortable, and having someone meet us at the stations took away a lot of the stress of traveling between cities. It was a long trip, but the pace worked well for us. There were busy sightseeing days, followed by some slower time to relax and explore on our own.

By the end, we were tired but very happy. China is much more diverse than we expected, and this trip gave us a wonderful introduction to it.

A Lovely Walk Through Old Qingdao

We had a very warm day for our tour, but everything was arranged so smoothly that the weather didn't cause any problems. Our guide, Elodie, was friendly and knew a lot about Qingdao's history. She gave us some background before each stop, which made the old buildings much more interesting instead of just looking at them from the outside.

Our driver was also excellent. He handled the city traffic confidently and we felt very comfortable throughout the day. The route was well planned, with enough time to walk around Badaguan, explore the Governor's House, and visit St. Michael's Church.

I especially liked Badaguan because of the old villas and tree-lined streets. It feels quite different from the busier parts of Qingdao. Overall, it was an easy and enjoyable way to discover the city's architectural heritage in a single day.

A Wonderful Introduction to Shandong's History and Culture

My wife and I have travelled to China several times, but this was our first time visiting Shandong. We wanted to see more than the usual big cities, and this three-day journey through Jinan, Qufu and Mount Tai turned out to be an excellent choice.

What I enjoyed most was the variety of the trip. Jinan has such a relaxed atmosphere, especially around the springs and old streets. It was fascinating to see how the spring water is still part of everyday life rather than simply something preserved for tourists. The city felt very different from Beijing or Shanghai, and we were glad to have included it.

Qufu gave us a completely different experience. I have always been interested in Chinese history and philosophy, so visiting the hometown of Confucius was particularly meaningful. The historic sites are impressive, but having someone explain the background and traditions made them much easier to appreciate. Without that context, I think we would have missed many of the details.

Mount Tai was the real finale of the trip. We knew there would be quite a bit of walking, but the combination of mountain scenery, ancient inscriptions and historic temples made the effort worthwhile. The views changed constantly as we went higher, and the atmosphere near the top was something I will remember for a long time.

I would also like to mention how smoothly everything was organized. Our driver was punctual, the car was comfortable, and all the transfers between cities were handled without any stress. After a full day of sightseeing, it was particularly nice to simply get into the car and know that everything had already been taken care of.

Our travel consultant was also extremely helpful during the planning stage. We had quite a few questions about the route, transportation and how much time we should allow for Mount Tai, and every question was answered patiently. The itinerary felt well balanced rather than rushed, which is important to us as we prefer to actually enjoy a place instead of simply collecting photographs.

This trip gave us a very different perspective on China. Jinan showed us the everyday charm of a city built around its springs, Qufu introduced us to one of the most influential figures in Chinese history, and Mount Tai brought together nature, religion and centuries of tradition.

For anyone interested in Chinese history and culture, I would certainly recommend spending a few days exploring this part of Shandong. It was a memorable journey, and one that felt very different from our previous trips to China.
