Day 1 | Arrive in Huangshan, transfer to the hotel by our driver, free & easy

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

Welcome to Huangshan! Upon your arrival at Huangshan Railway Station, your private guide and driver will meet you at the exit holding your name sign. We will help you with your luggage and transfer you comfortably to your hotel.

After check-in, you can take some time to relax and adjust to the peaceful rhythm of this mountain city. Unlike busy metropolitan areas, Huangshan has a slower pace, with old streets, tea gardens, and mountains surrounding the city.

Depending on your arrival time, our guide can also recommend a short walk around Tunxi Old Street, one of the best places to get your first impression of Huizhou culture. The traditional wooden buildings, local snacks, and small craft shops create a perfect introduction to the region.

In the evening, your guide will help confirm the next day's schedule and provide practical tips for the upcoming countryside exploration.

Day 2 | Huangshan: Chengkan Village & Tangmo Village

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, your private driver will pick you up from your hotel and take you into the countryside of Huizhou. Today, you'll explore two beautiful ancient villages that preserve the original charm of Anhui's traditional lifestyle.

Your first stop is Chengkan Village, often described as a "living museum of Huizhou architecture." Unlike some commercialized ancient towns, Chengkan still maintains a peaceful atmosphere, with narrow stone lanes, white-walled houses, and quiet courtyards. Walking through the village, your guide will introduce you to the unique layout based on traditional Chinese Feng Shui concepts. You'll discover how ancient Huizhou people designed their homes, waterways, and streets to create harmony between nature and daily life. Take your time to explore the old residences, ancestral halls, and small bridges. With the surrounding mountains and streams, Chengkan is especially beautiful in the morning when soft sunlight falls on the traditional rooftops.

After the visit, enjoy a local lunch arranged by us at a carefully selected restaurant. You'll have the chance to taste Huizhou specialties made with local ingredients.

After lunch, continue to Tangmo Village, a charming water village known for its elegant gardens, ancient canals, and peaceful countryside scenery. Here, you'll walk along the old waterways and explore the famous Tangmo Ancient Street. The village has a refined atmosphere, reflecting the prosperity of Huizhou merchants hundreds of years ago. Your guide will share stories about local traditions, ancient education, and the relationship between Huizhou merchants and the development of southern Anhui.

After the tour, your driver will transfer you back to Huangshan City.

Day 3 | Huangshan: Huizhou Ancient City, Yuliang Dam, Xuguo Stone Archway & Hukaiwen Ink Factory

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, your private guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel and continue your journey into the heart of Huizhou culture. Today, you'll explore the historic towns, ancient water systems, and traditional craftsmanship that shaped this unique region. Unlike simply visiting old buildings for photos, today's experience allows you to understand the stories behind Huizhou's prosperity — how merchants traveled across China, how local communities were built around waterways, and how traditional crafts have been passed down for generations.

Your first stop is Huizhou Ancient City, one of the best-preserved ancient cities in southern Anhui and the cultural center of the historic Huizhou region. As you walk through the old city gates and stone-paved streets, your guide will introduce you to the history of Huizhou merchants, known as one of China's most influential merchant groups during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Their success brought not only wealth but also a strong emphasis on education, architecture, and cultural development. You'll explore traditional residences, ancestral halls, and quiet lanes where you can still feel the atmosphere of old Huizhou. Your guide will point out the details that are easy to miss — from delicate wood carvings on old buildings to the layout of traditional courtyards designed around family life.

Continue your walk to the Xuguo Stone Archway, the only remaining stone archway from the Ming Dynasty in Huizhou Ancient City. Built over 400 years ago, this impressive structure is a masterpiece of ancient Chinese stone carving. The detailed patterns, mythical creatures, and historical inscriptions reflect the craftsmanship and social values of that time. Your guide will explain the stories behind the carvings and help you understand why this archway is considered one of the most important cultural landmarks in Huizhou.

After exploring the ancient city, continue to Yuliang Dam, a historic water project located along the Xin'an River. Built more than 1,000 years ago, the dam played an important role in controlling water flow, supporting agriculture, and helping Huizhou develop as a prosperous trading area. Today, it remains a peaceful place where you can enjoy riverside scenery, traditional villages, and a slower pace of local life. Take a walk along the riverbank and enjoy the contrast between the ancient stone structures and the surrounding green mountains. This is also a great place to experience a quieter side of Huizhou away from the crowds.

In the afternoon, visit Hukaiwen Ink Factory, a historic workshop famous for producing Huizhou ink, one of China's most respected traditional crafts. During the visit, you'll learn how traditional ink is made through a detailed process involving natural ingredients, careful grinding, shaping, and years of experience. Your guide will explain why Huizhou ink became an essential part of Chinese calligraphy and painting culture. This hands-on cultural experience offers a different perspective of Huizhou — not only as a place of beautiful villages and architecture, but also as a place where craftsmanship continues to live.

After the visit, your private driver will take you back to your hotel in Huangshan City. You can relax for the evening and prepare for tomorrow's highlight — the unforgettable Huangshan Mountain experience.

Day 4 | Huangshan: Huangshan Mountain Hiking & Overnight Stay

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

Today is the highlight of your journey — exploring the legendary Huangshan Mountain. After breakfast, your driver will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the Huangshan scenic area entrance. Our team will help arrange tickets, shuttle buses, and cable car procedures, so you can focus on enjoying the mountain scenery.

Take the cable car up the mountain and begin your exploration of one of China's most famous landscapes. Huangshan is known for its "Four Wonders": strange pine trees, spectacular rocks, sea of clouds, and hot springs. As you walk along the mountain paths, every turn reveals a different view. Your guide will choose the hiking route according to your physical condition and interests. Whether you prefer a relaxed walk with more viewpoints or a more active hiking experience, we will adjust the pace for you. Along the way, you'll visit iconic spots such as Bright Summit, Black Tiger Pine, and West Sea Grand Canyon viewpoints (route depends on weather and mountain conditions).

In the afternoon, enjoy the unforgettable mountain atmosphere as clouds move between the peaks.

Staying overnight on the mountain allows you to experience Huangshan at its most magical moments. Wake up early the next morning to watch the sunrise without rushing from the city. Your guide will help you check in at the mountain hotel and explain the best sunrise viewing location for the next day.

Day 5 | Huangshan: Hongcun Village & Bishan Village

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

Wake up early and enjoy the sunrise over Huangshan Mountain. Watching the first sunlight illuminate the granite peaks is one of the most memorable experiences of this journey.

After breakfast, descend the mountain by cable car and meet your driver at the entrance.

Continue to Hongcun Village, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most beautiful ancient villages in China. Known as the "village in a Chinese painting," Hongcun features white-walled houses, black-tiled roofs, and a unique water system designed hundreds of years ago. Your guide will take you through the narrow lanes, Moon Pond, and ancient residences while explaining how local people created such a perfect combination of architecture and nature. Beyond the famous photo spots, we'll also show you quieter corners where you can experience the authentic village atmosphere.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant featuring Huizhou cuisine before continuing your journey.

In the afternoon, visit Bishan Village, a more artistic and less crowded countryside destination. Compared with Hongcun's classic beauty, Bishan offers a slower and more creative atmosphere. Old houses have been transformed into art spaces, cafes, and cultural venues while preserving the original village style. It's a perfect place to slow down, enjoy rural scenery, and experience the modern revival of ancient villages.

After the visit, transfer back to Huangshan City or nearby area.

Day 6 | Huangshan to Wuyuan Countryside Exploration

Accommodation Accommodation:

After breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel and drive to Wuyuan, one of China's most beautiful countryside destinations. Wuyuan is famous for its traditional villages, yellow rapeseed flowers in spring, green mountains, and peaceful rural landscapes.

During your visit, your guide will select the best villages according to the season and road conditions. You'll walk through ancient streets, admire traditional Huizhou-style houses, and enjoy the relaxed countryside atmosphere. Unlike larger tourist towns, Wuyuan still feels connected to local life, with villagers farming, making tea, and maintaining traditional customs. Your guide will share stories about the relationship between Wuyuan and Huizhou culture, helping you understand why these villages have preserved their unique character for centuries.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before your departure.

After the tour, your private driver will transfer you to the high-speed train station according to your train schedule. Our service team will make sure you arrive with enough time for boarding and assist you with any final travel arrangements.

Your 6-day Huangshan and Huizhou cultural journey ends here. We hope the mountains, villages, and stories of southern Anhui become unforgettable memories of your China trip.

A Fascinating Glimpse into Shenzhen's Future with an Excellent Guide

We had a fantastic day exploring Shenzhen's technology scene, and it was one of the most memorable experiences of our trip to China.

Everything was very well organized, from the hotel pickup to the comfortable private vehicle. What we appreciated most was that the day never felt rushed. Our guide gave us plenty of time to experience each activity and was always happy to explain how the technology worked.

The driverless taxi was definitely a highlight. Sitting inside and watching the car navigate the city without a driver was both fascinating and slightly surreal! We also really enjoyed the hands-on robot experiences, especially trying the exoskeleton and interacting with the robot dog. Seeing a delivery drone actually arrive with food made the whole experience feel even more futuristic.

Our guide was wonderful throughout the day—knowledgeable, friendly, and with excellent English. She made the technology easy to understand without turning the tour into a technical lecture.

If you're looking for something beyond Shenzhen's usual sightseeing spots, we highly recommend this tour. It's a fun and very different way to experience how technology is shaping everyday life in the city.

The trains made the route surprisingly easy

We have just finished our 21-day trip through China, and it was an amazing experience from beginning to end. We saw so many different sides of the country — the pandas and relaxed atmosphere in Chengdu, the history of Xi'an, the energy of Chongqing, the incredible mountains in Zhangjiajie, and then the beautiful landscapes around Guilin and Yangshuo.

What made the trip much easier was the support from our guides and drivers in each destination. They were always on time, helpful with our luggage and transportation, and happy to answer questions. The drivers were particularly good at navigating busy city traffic and mountain roads, and we always felt safe in the cars.

The high-speed trains were comfortable, and having someone meet us at the stations took away a lot of the stress of traveling between cities. It was a long trip, but the pace worked well for us. There were busy sightseeing days, followed by some slower time to relax and explore on our own.

By the end, we were tired but very happy. China is much more diverse than we expected, and this trip gave us a wonderful introduction to it.

A Lovely Walk Through Old Qingdao

We had a very warm day for our tour, but everything was arranged so smoothly that the weather didn't cause any problems. Our guide, Elodie, was friendly and knew a lot about Qingdao's history. She gave us some background before each stop, which made the old buildings much more interesting instead of just looking at them from the outside.

Our driver was also excellent. He handled the city traffic confidently and we felt very comfortable throughout the day. The route was well planned, with enough time to walk around Badaguan, explore the Governor's House, and visit St. Michael's Church.

I especially liked Badaguan because of the old villas and tree-lined streets. It feels quite different from the busier parts of Qingdao. Overall, it was an easy and enjoyable way to discover the city's architectural heritage in a single day.

A Wonderful Introduction to Shandong's History and Culture

My wife and I have travelled to China several times, but this was our first time visiting Shandong. We wanted to see more than the usual big cities, and this three-day journey through Jinan, Qufu and Mount Tai turned out to be an excellent choice.

What I enjoyed most was the variety of the trip. Jinan has such a relaxed atmosphere, especially around the springs and old streets. It was fascinating to see how the spring water is still part of everyday life rather than simply something preserved for tourists. The city felt very different from Beijing or Shanghai, and we were glad to have included it.

Qufu gave us a completely different experience. I have always been interested in Chinese history and philosophy, so visiting the hometown of Confucius was particularly meaningful. The historic sites are impressive, but having someone explain the background and traditions made them much easier to appreciate. Without that context, I think we would have missed many of the details.

Mount Tai was the real finale of the trip. We knew there would be quite a bit of walking, but the combination of mountain scenery, ancient inscriptions and historic temples made the effort worthwhile. The views changed constantly as we went higher, and the atmosphere near the top was something I will remember for a long time.

I would also like to mention how smoothly everything was organized. Our driver was punctual, the car was comfortable, and all the transfers between cities were handled without any stress. After a full day of sightseeing, it was particularly nice to simply get into the car and know that everything had already been taken care of.

Our travel consultant was also extremely helpful during the planning stage. We had quite a few questions about the route, transportation and how much time we should allow for Mount Tai, and every question was answered patiently. The itinerary felt well balanced rather than rushed, which is important to us as we prefer to actually enjoy a place instead of simply collecting photographs.

This trip gave us a very different perspective on China. Jinan showed us the everyday charm of a city built around its springs, Qufu introduced us to one of the most influential figures in Chinese history, and Mount Tai brought together nature, religion and centuries of tradition.

For anyone interested in Chinese history and culture, I would certainly recommend spending a few days exploring this part of Shandong. It was a memorable journey, and one that felt very different from our previous trips to China.
