Day 1 | Huangshan: Hu Kaiwen Ink Factory & Tunxi Old Street

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

Your Huangshan journey begins with a warm welcome at Huangshan North Railway Station. Upon arrival, your private guide and driver will be waiting for you at the station, ready to assist with your luggage and transfer you comfortably to explore the city. Instead of immediately heading into the mountains, today is designed as a gentle introduction to Huangshan's rich Huizhou culture.

Your first stop is Hu Kaiwen Ink Factory, one of the most famous traditional ink producers in China. Huizhou ink has a history of more than a thousand years and played an important role in Chinese calligraphy and painting. During your visit, you will learn how this traditional craft is created, from selecting natural ingredients to the detailed hand-carving process.

After discovering this fascinating local art, you will continue to Tunxi Old Street, one of the best-preserved historical streets in Huangshan. Walking along the stone paths, you will see traditional wooden buildings, old merchant houses, and local shops selling tea, handicrafts, and Huizhou specialties. Your guide will share stories about the powerful Huizhou merchants who once traveled across China and brought wealth and culture back to their hometowns.

For lunch, we will arrange a local Huizhou cuisine experience. Rather than choosing tourist restaurants, our team selects authentic local restaurants where you can try regional specialties and seasonal dishes.

After lunch, your private vehicle will take you to Yixian County. As the city disappears behind you, the scenery gradually changes into green mountains, bamboo forests, and peaceful countryside.

Tonight, you will stay at Banyan Tree Huangshan, a luxury resort blending modern comfort with traditional Huizhou design — the perfect place to relax before exploring ancient villages tomorrow.

Day 2 | Huangshan: Xidi Ancient Village & Hongcun Ancient Village Exploration

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, your guide will meet you at the hotel and take you deeper into the heart of Huizhou culture.

The first stop today is Xidi Ancient Village, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its elegant Ming and Qing dynasty architecture. As you walk through the narrow stone lanes, you will see white-walled houses, dark tiled roofs, beautifully carved wooden decorations, and peaceful courtyards that have remained almost unchanged for hundreds of years. Unlike simply visiting a historical site, your guide will help you understand the stories behind the village — how Huizhou merchants built these impressive homes, why the village was designed in a particular way, and how traditional family culture shaped daily life here.

After exploring Xidi, enjoy lunch at a carefully selected local restaurant featuring authentic Huizhou flavors.

In the afternoon, continue to Hongcun Ancient Village, often regarded as one of the most beautiful villages in China. The village is famous for its unique water system, especially the crescent-shaped Moon Pond and the peaceful reflections around South Lake. Take your time wandering through the lanes, capturing photos, and enjoying the quiet atmosphere. Early morning and late afternoon are the best moments here when the light gently falls on the old buildings and the village feels almost like a traditional Chinese painting.

After the visit, return to Banyan Tree Huangshan for a relaxing evening.

Day 3 | Huangshan: Yellow Mountain Scenic Area & Yungu Cable Car Experience

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

Today you will begin your Yellow Mountain adventure. After breakfast, your private vehicle will transfer you from the hotel to Huangshan Scenic Area. Our team will arrange your entrance tickets and cable car tickets in advance, helping you avoid unnecessary waiting and making the journey smoother.

You will take the Yungu Cable Car up the mountain. This route allows you to save energy while enjoying spectacular views as the landscape changes from forests and valleys to dramatic granite peaks.

After arriving at the mountain area, your guide will lead you along a carefully planned route based on weather conditions and your pace. Huangshan is famous for its strangely shaped rocks, ancient pine trees, and ever-changing clouds — every viewpoint offers a different perspective.

Lunch will be arranged at a mountain restaurant. Although dining options on Huangshan are limited, our team will select the most suitable option and help arrange everything in advance.

In the afternoon, continue exploring the mountain scenery before checking into Beihai Hotel, one of the most convenient hotels for sunrise viewing. Staying overnight on the mountain is one of the highlights of this journey. Instead of leaving before sunset like most day visitors, you can enjoy the quiet beauty of Huangshan after the crowds disappear.

Day 4 | Huangshan: Sunrise Viewing & Yellow Mountain Scenic Area Exploration

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

Today is dedicated to experiencing the true beauty of Yellow Mountain at a slower pace. Unlike a typical day trip where you have to hurry through the highlights, staying overnight on the mountain allows you to enjoy Huangshan during its most magical moments — early morning silence, changing clouds, and the golden light over the peaks.

Wake up before sunrise and follow your guide to one of the best nearby viewpoints according to the weather conditions. Watching the first sunlight slowly spread across the mountain ridges is one of Huangshan's most unforgettable experiences. On lucky days, the famous sea of clouds appears between the peaks, making the landscape look like a traditional Chinese ink painting brought to life.

After returning to the hotel for breakfast, continue your exploration of the Yellow Mountain Scenic Area. Your guide will adjust today's route based on your interests, walking pace, and the weather. Instead of simply following the busiest paths, we focus on creating a comfortable experience while helping you discover the most impressive landscapes along the way. You will explore some of Huangshan's classic viewpoints, such as Bright Summit (Guangmingding), Flying Stone, and Beginning-to-Believe Peak (Shixin Peak), where you can admire the mountain's famous granite formations, ancient pine trees growing from cliffs, and dramatic views stretching across countless peaks.

During the journey, your guide will share stories behind Huangshan's unique scenery — from the legends of its strange rocks to the painters and poets who found inspiration here for centuries. These stories bring the landscape to life and help you appreciate Huangshan beyond just taking photos.

For lunch, we will arrange a meal at a mountain restaurant. Since dining options on Yellow Mountain are limited, our team will help select a suitable restaurant in advance, allowing you to enjoy your break without worrying about arrangements.

In the afternoon, continue exploring the mountain at a relaxed pace. You can take time to enjoy quiet viewpoints, capture photos from different angles, or simply sit among the clouds and appreciate the peaceful atmosphere that makes Huangshan so special.

After a full day surrounded by nature, return to Beihai Hotel for another comfortable night on the mountain. Staying a second night gives you more flexibility and allows you to experience Huangshan without the pressure of rushing down the mountain.

Day 5 | Huangshan: Yungu Cable Car Down, Chengkan Ancient Village

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After two unforgettable nights surrounded by the mountains, today you will leave Yellow Mountain and continue exploring the cultural side of Huangshan.

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at Beihai Hotel before taking the Yungu Cable Car down the mountain. The descent offers a different perspective from the way up — as the cable car slowly moves through the forest, you can watch the dramatic mountain scenery gradually transform into peaceful valleys and countryside landscapes. Your private driver will be waiting at the mountain entrance to pick you up. Our team will arrange the timing in advance, so you can smoothly connect from the mountain experience to the next destination without worrying about transportation or luggage.

Today's highlight is Chengkan Ancient Village, one of the best-preserved traditional villages in Huizhou. Often described as an "ancient Chinese village hidden among mountains and water," Chengkan is famous for its unique layout, traditional architecture, and deep connection with Feng Shui culture. Walking into Chengkan feels like stepping into another era. The village features winding lanes, old ancestral halls, elegant courtyards, and beautifully preserved residences from the Ming and Qing dynasties. Unlike some more famous villages that can feel crowded, Chengkan maintains a quieter atmosphere, allowing you to experience the authentic rhythm of local village life.

During your visit, your guide will introduce the stories behind the village design, including how ancient residents used natural surroundings, water systems, and architectural principles to create a harmonious living environment. You will also discover impressive details hidden in the buildings, such as wooden carvings, stone decorations, and traditional courtyard designs.

For lunch, we will arrange a local meal in or near Chengkan Village. This is a great opportunity to enjoy more Huizhou specialties and experience the connection between local food and the region's history.

After lunch, continue your journey toward Huangshan City. The route is intentionally arranged at a relaxed pace, giving you time to rest after your mountain adventure while enjoying the changing scenery along the way.

Upon arrival, check in at Hyatt Regency Huangshan, where you will stay in a comfortable river-view room. After several days exploring mountains and villages, this modern hotel offers a refreshing change — a comfortable place to relax, enjoy the city atmosphere, and prepare for tomorrow's countryside exploration.

If you still have energy in the evening, your guide can recommend nearby places for a casual walk or local dining experience, allowing you to discover another side of Huangshan beyond the famous mountain scenery.

Day 6 | Huangshan: Wuyuan Huangling Terraced Fields & Likeng Ancient Village Exploration

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

Today, you will leave Huangshan behind for a countryside journey into Wuyuan, a beautiful region often known as one of the most charming rural destinations in China. With rolling hills, traditional villages, and seasonal landscapes, Wuyuan offers a different side of eastern China — peaceful, natural, and deeply connected with local life.

After breakfast at the hotel, your private driver and guide will meet you and begin the journey to Huangling Village. The drive takes you through picturesque countryside roads, where mountains, tea fields, and small villages gradually replace the city scenery.

Upon arrival, you will take the Huangling Cable Car up to the village. The cable car ride itself is part of the experience, offering beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and traditional houses scattered across the hillsides.

Perched on the mountainside, Huangling Village is famous for its unique combination of ancient architecture and stunning natural scenery. The village is especially known for its traditional "autumn drying" scene, when local residents display colorful crops on wooden racks outside their homes — creating one of the most iconic countryside images in China.

If you visit during spring, Huangling becomes even more spectacular with endless rapeseed flower fields covering the terraces in bright yellow. Walking along the village paths, you can enjoy views of flower-covered hills, ancient Hui-style houses, and layers of farmland stretching into the distance. Your guide will help you discover the best viewpoints and explain how local villagers have adapted their homes and farming methods to the mountain environment. Rather than simply taking photos from the popular platforms, you will have time to walk through the village lanes, observe daily life, and appreciate the peaceful atmosphere.

For lunch, we will arrange a local countryside meal featuring Wuyuan specialties. The dishes are simple but full of local character, often prepared with seasonal ingredients from nearby farms.

In the afternoon, continue to Likeng Ancient Village, another charming village surrounded by green mountains and clear streams. Compared with Huangling's dramatic hillside views, Likeng offers a quieter experience with narrow stone lanes, traditional houses, small bridges, and waterways running through the village. Take a relaxing walk along the old streets and enjoy the slower rhythm of village life. Your guide will share stories about Huizhou culture, local traditions, and how these villages have preserved their original character through generations.

After the visit, your private vehicle will take you back to Huangshan City. The return journey gives you time to rest and reflect on the contrast between Huangshan's magnificent mountains and Wuyuan's gentle countryside landscapes.

Back at Hyatt Regency Huangshan, enjoy your final evening with the comfort of a riverside room. You can relax at the hotel or ask your guide for recommendations for a local dinner experience nearby.

Today marks the end of your Huangshan journey. After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a relaxed morning before your departure. Your private driver will pick you up from Hyatt Regency Huangshan at the scheduled time and transfer you comfortably to Huangshan North Railway Station. We will arrange the pickup time according to your train schedule, giving you enough time for a smooth departure without unnecessary waiting.

During the drive, you can take one last look at the peaceful landscapes of Huangshan — the mountains, villages, and countryside views that have accompanied you throughout the past week. Over these 7 days, you have experienced the many different faces of Huangshan: the artistic heritage of Huizhou ink culture, the timeless beauty of Xidi and Hongcun, the dramatic peaks and clouds of Yellow Mountain, the traditional architecture of Chengkan, and the peaceful countryside scenery of Wuyuan.

Our team will make sure your transfer is smooth until you arrive at the station. If you need assistance with your next destination, onward transportation, or extending your China journey, we are happy to provide recommendations and support.

Thank you for joining us on this unforgettable Huangshan adventure. We hope the memories of misty mountains, ancient villages, and warm local experiences will stay with you long after you leave.

A Fascinating Glimpse into Shenzhen's Future with an Excellent Guide

We had a fantastic day exploring Shenzhen's technology scene, and it was one of the most memorable experiences of our trip to China.

Everything was very well organized, from the hotel pickup to the comfortable private vehicle. What we appreciated most was that the day never felt rushed. Our guide gave us plenty of time to experience each activity and was always happy to explain how the technology worked.

The driverless taxi was definitely a highlight. Sitting inside and watching the car navigate the city without a driver was both fascinating and slightly surreal! We also really enjoyed the hands-on robot experiences, especially trying the exoskeleton and interacting with the robot dog. Seeing a delivery drone actually arrive with food made the whole experience feel even more futuristic.

Our guide was wonderful throughout the day—knowledgeable, friendly, and with excellent English. She made the technology easy to understand without turning the tour into a technical lecture.

If you're looking for something beyond Shenzhen's usual sightseeing spots, we highly recommend this tour. It's a fun and very different way to experience how technology is shaping everyday life in the city.

The trains made the route surprisingly easy

We have just finished our 21-day trip through China, and it was an amazing experience from beginning to end. We saw so many different sides of the country — the pandas and relaxed atmosphere in Chengdu, the history of Xi'an, the energy of Chongqing, the incredible mountains in Zhangjiajie, and then the beautiful landscapes around Guilin and Yangshuo.

What made the trip much easier was the support from our guides and drivers in each destination. They were always on time, helpful with our luggage and transportation, and happy to answer questions. The drivers were particularly good at navigating busy city traffic and mountain roads, and we always felt safe in the cars.

The high-speed trains were comfortable, and having someone meet us at the stations took away a lot of the stress of traveling between cities. It was a long trip, but the pace worked well for us. There were busy sightseeing days, followed by some slower time to relax and explore on our own.

By the end, we were tired but very happy. China is much more diverse than we expected, and this trip gave us a wonderful introduction to it.

A Lovely Walk Through Old Qingdao

We had a very warm day for our tour, but everything was arranged so smoothly that the weather didn't cause any problems. Our guide, Elodie, was friendly and knew a lot about Qingdao's history. She gave us some background before each stop, which made the old buildings much more interesting instead of just looking at them from the outside.

Our driver was also excellent. He handled the city traffic confidently and we felt very comfortable throughout the day. The route was well planned, with enough time to walk around Badaguan, explore the Governor's House, and visit St. Michael's Church.

I especially liked Badaguan because of the old villas and tree-lined streets. It feels quite different from the busier parts of Qingdao. Overall, it was an easy and enjoyable way to discover the city's architectural heritage in a single day.

Thanks, Soren! We're happy you enjoyed the relaxed pace and the character of the historic neighborhoods. Qingdao has a lot of architectural details that are easy to miss, so we're glad you had the chance to explore them with us.

A Wonderful Introduction to Shandong's History and Culture

My wife and I have travelled to China several times, but this was our first time visiting Shandong. We wanted to see more than the usual big cities, and this three-day journey through Jinan, Qufu and Mount Tai turned out to be an excellent choice.

What I enjoyed most was the variety of the trip. Jinan has such a relaxed atmosphere, especially around the springs and old streets. It was fascinating to see how the spring water is still part of everyday life rather than simply something preserved for tourists. The city felt very different from Beijing or Shanghai, and we were glad to have included it.

Qufu gave us a completely different experience. I have always been interested in Chinese history and philosophy, so visiting the hometown of Confucius was particularly meaningful. The historic sites are impressive, but having someone explain the background and traditions made them much easier to appreciate. Without that context, I think we would have missed many of the details.

Mount Tai was the real finale of the trip. We knew there would be quite a bit of walking, but the combination of mountain scenery, ancient inscriptions and historic temples made the effort worthwhile. The views changed constantly as we went higher, and the atmosphere near the top was something I will remember for a long time.

I would also like to mention how smoothly everything was organized. Our driver was punctual, the car was comfortable, and all the transfers between cities were handled without any stress. After a full day of sightseeing, it was particularly nice to simply get into the car and know that everything had already been taken care of.

Our travel consultant was also extremely helpful during the planning stage. We had quite a few questions about the route, transportation and how much time we should allow for Mount Tai, and every question was answered patiently. The itinerary felt well balanced rather than rushed, which is important to us as we prefer to actually enjoy a place instead of simply collecting photographs.

This trip gave us a very different perspective on China. Jinan showed us the everyday charm of a city built around its springs, Qufu introduced us to one of the most influential figures in Chinese history, and Mount Tai brought together nature, religion and centuries of tradition.

For anyone interested in Chinese history and culture, I would certainly recommend spending a few days exploring this part of Shandong. It was a memorable journey, and one that felt very different from our previous trips to China.
