Day 1 Arrive in Xi'an, transfer to the hotel by our driver, free & easy

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

Welcome to Xi'an, the starting point of your Muslim cultural journey in China. Upon your arrival at Xi'an airport or train station, our local driver will warmly welcome you and transfer you directly to your hotel. Unlike joining group tours with fixed schedules, our private service allows you to adjust the arrival time and rest after your journey.

Xi'an is one of the oldest cities in China and once served as the capital for 13 dynasties, including the powerful Qin and Tang dynasties. Walking through the city today, you can still feel the atmosphere of ancient China blending with modern life — from the preserved city walls to the lively Muslim neighborhoods.

After checking in, you can take some time to relax at the hotel. If you arrive early and would like to explore nearby areas, our guide can provide local suggestions, such as a short walk around the city center or nearby halal restaurants.

Day 2 Xi'an: Huaqing Palace, Terracotta Army, City Wall & Great Mosque

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, your private guide and driver will meet you at your hotel lobby and begin your journey through Xi'an's most iconic historical sites. Today, you will travel across different chapters of Chinese history — from the romantic stories of the Tang Dynasty to the powerful Qin Empire, and finally into the heart of Xi'an's Muslim heritage.

Your first stop is Huaqing Palace, a beautiful royal retreat located at the foot of Mount Li. Surrounded by green mountains and natural hot springs, this palace was once a favorite winter residence for Tang emperors. As you walk through the peaceful gardens and ancient palace buildings, your guide will share the famous story of Emperor Xuanzong and Lady Yang Guifei, one of the most well-known romances in Chinese history. Beyond the romantic legends, Huaqing Palace also witnessed important historical events that shaped modern China. Your guide will help you understand how this royal garden evolved from an imperial retreat into a place carrying centuries of political and cultural memories.

After exploring Huaqing Palace, enjoy a carefully selected halal lunch at a local restaurant. Our team will choose restaurants that provide authentic local flavors while meeting Muslim dietary requirements, allowing you to enjoy Xi'an cuisine with confidence.

Continue your journey to the world-famous Terracotta Army, the greatest archaeological discovery of the 20th century. Standing in front of thousands of life-sized clay soldiers, horses, and chariots, you will be transported back more than 2,000 years to the Qin Dynasty. Each warrior in the pits has a unique facial expression, hairstyle, and position, reflecting the extraordinary craftsmanship of ancient Chinese artisans. Your guide will explain the story behind Emperor Qin Shi Huang's ambitious vision of creating an underground empire and how this incredible site was accidentally discovered by local farmers in 1974. You will also visit the Mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang, where you can learn more about the first emperor of China and the massive burial complex built to accompany him into the afterlife.

After returning to downtown Xi'an, continue your cultural exploration with a visit to the Ancient City Wall. Built during the Ming Dynasty, Xi'an City Wall is one of the best-preserved ancient city walls in China. Cycling along the wide pathways offers a unique perspective of the city — ancient watchtowers, traditional neighborhoods, and modern skyscrapers all come together in one breathtaking view.

As the sun sets, head to Bell & Drum Tower Square, where the illuminated historical buildings create a beautiful evening atmosphere. From here, continue walking into the nearby Great Mosque and Muslim Quarter, one of Xi'an's most important centers of Muslim culture. Unlike ordinary food streets, this neighborhood has been home to Xi'an's Muslim community for centuries. You will discover the unique combination of Chinese and Islamic architectural styles at the Great Mosque, then explore lively lanes filled with halal restaurants, traditional markets, and local snacks. Your guide will introduce authentic dishes such as lamb skewers, hand-pulled noodles, and local Shaanxi specialties while helping you avoid overly commercialized choices.

After dinner, your private driver will transfer you back to your hotel for a comfortable rest.

Day 3 Xi'an: Shaanxi History Museum, Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, Tang Paradise & Muslim Markets

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, your guide and private vehicle will pick you up from your hotel and continue exploring Xi'an's glorious Tang Dynasty culture. Known as one of the largest and most prosperous cities in the ancient world, Chang'an (ancient Xi'an) was once the starting point of the Silk Road and a place where cultures from across Asia gathered.

Your first visit is Shaanxi History Museum, one of the most important museums in China. Since museum reservations are required, our team will arrange your tickets in advance, saving you time and allowing you to enjoy a smoother experience.

Inside the museum, you will discover thousands of precious artifacts from different dynasties, including bronze treasures from ancient kingdoms, Tang Dynasty murals, gold and silver objects, and cultural relics showing Xi'an's role as a global center of trade and cultural exchange. Your guide will help bring these exhibits to life by explaining the stories behind them — not just what they are, but why they mattered in shaping Chinese history.

After the museum visit, enjoy a halal lunch at a local restaurant before continuing the afternoon exploration.

Continue to the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, one of Xi'an's most recognizable landmarks. Built during the Tang Dynasty, this ancient Buddhist pagoda is closely connected with the famous monk Xuanzang, whose journey to India to collect Buddhist scriptures later inspired the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West. Walking around the pagoda area, you can feel the peaceful atmosphere that has remained for more than 1,300 years. Your guide will share stories about Tang Dynasty culture, Buddhism, and how Xi'an became a meeting point between China and the outside world.

You will then visit the nearby Small Wild Goose Pagoda, a quieter historical site surrounded by traditional gardens. Compared with the larger and busier attractions, this area offers a more relaxed experience where you can appreciate ancient architecture and local daily life.

Continue to Tang Paradise, a cultural attraction designed to recreate the elegance of the Tang Dynasty. With traditional buildings, beautiful gardens, and cultural performances, it provides a vivid image of how magnificent Chang'an was during its golden age.

As evening approaches, explore Xi'an's local food and cultural streets. Start with Yongxingfang Food Street, where traditional Shaanxi snacks and local flavors gather in a lively atmosphere. Then walk through Shuyuanmen Cultural Street, a charming historic area famous for calligraphy, paintings, and traditional crafts.

Your final stop is Sajinqiao Muslim Market, a favorite local destination for authentic halal food. Compared with the more famous Muslim Quarter, Sajinqiao offers a more local atmosphere where residents come for everyday meals. Here, you can taste freshly prepared halal dishes and experience the authentic rhythm of Xi'an life. Our guide will recommend trusted food stalls and explain the stories behind local specialties, making your culinary experience more meaningful.

After the visit, your driver will take you back to your hotel.

Day 4 Xi'an → Huashan Mountain by High-Speed Train: Huashan Scenic Area & Mountain Overnight Experience

Accommodation Accommodation:
Mountain overnight
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up from your Xi'an hotel and transfer you to the train station. Today, you will leave the ancient capital of Xi'an and head to one of China's most spectacular natural wonders — Mount Huashan, famous for its dramatic cliffs, steep trails, and breathtaking mountain views.

You will take a comfortable high-speed train from Xi'an to Huashan, and our team will assist you throughout the transfer to ensure a smooth connection. After arriving at Huashan North Railway Station, your private transfer will take you directly to the mountain entrance. Known as one of China's Five Great Mountains, Huashan has been admired for centuries for its steep peaks and powerful landscapes. Unlike gentle mountain destinations, Huashan offers a more dramatic experience — towering cliffs, narrow paths, and panoramic views that make you feel as if you are walking above the clouds.

After taking the cable car up the mountain, begin your exploration of the famous peaks. You will visit West Peak, one of the most beautiful viewpoints on Huashan. The sharp mountain ridges and endless valleys create one of the most unforgettable landscapes in China. Continue to South Peak, the highest peak of Huashan at 2,154 meters above sea level. Standing on the summit, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains and understand why ancient Chinese travelers considered Huashan a place close to heaven.

For travelers seeking more adventure, you can choose the optional Sky Plank Road experience. Built along the side of a vertical cliff, this famous trail offers an exciting challenge and incredible views. Our guide will help you decide whether it matches your comfort level and ensure your safety throughout the experience.

After exploring the peaks, settle into your mountain-top accommodation and enjoy the rare experience of staying overnight above the clouds. Our team will arrange a simple halal-friendly dinner on the mountain, allowing you to rest comfortably while preparing for the next day's sunrise adventure.

Day 5 Huashan → Luoyang by High-Speed Train: Huashan Sunrise, Ancient Peaks & Luoyang Muslim Night Market

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

Wake up early to experience one of Huashan's most unforgettable moments — sunrise from East Peak. As the first sunlight appears over the mountains, the sky slowly changes color while the surrounding peaks emerge from the morning mist. Watching sunrise from Huashan is not only a beautiful natural experience but also a chance to appreciate why this mountain has inspired countless poets, painters, and travelers throughout Chinese history.

After enjoying the sunrise, continue your mountain adventure by visiting Middle Peak and North Peak. Each peak offers a different perspective of Huashan, from peaceful mountain paths to impressive cliffside views. Your guide will arrange the most suitable walking route based on your physical condition and pace, helping you enjoy the scenery without feeling rushed. After completing your exploration, take the cable car down the mountain and return to the foot of Huashan.

Enjoy a halal lunch before heading to the railway station. You will take a direct high-speed train from Huashan to Luoyang, another ancient capital city with more than 3,000 years of history.

Upon arrival in Luoyang, your driver will welcome you at the station and transfer you to your hotel for check-in and a short rest.

In the evening, explore Luoyang Cross Street Halal Night Market, one of the best places to experience the city's Muslim food culture. Walking through the lively streets, you can discover local halal specialties, traditional snacks, and the vibrant atmosphere of Luoyang after dark. Our guide will introduce authentic local dishes and help you choose the best food options, allowing you to enjoy Luoyang's flavors like a local.

Day 6 Luoyang: Longmen Grottoes & Luoyang Museum

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, your guide and private driver will pick you up from your hotel and begin exploring Luoyang's most impressive historical treasures.

Today's highlight is the world-famous Longmen Grottoes, one of China's greatest Buddhist art sites and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Located along the Yi River, Longmen Grottoes contain thousands of Buddhist statues carved directly into limestone cliffs over several centuries. As you walk through the scenic area, you will see everything from small delicate carvings to enormous Buddha statues that reveal the artistic achievements of ancient China. The most famous statue is the Vairocana Buddha, a magnificent figure carved during the Tang Dynasty. Standing before this peaceful masterpiece, you can truly understand the creativity, craftsmanship, and spiritual devotion of ancient artisans. Your guide will explain the meaning behind different statues, the history of Buddhism in China, and how Luoyang became one of the most important cultural centers in ancient times.

Enjoy a halal lunch at a local restaurant before continuing your exploration. After a deeper visit to Longmen Grottoes, you can enjoy the unique atmosphere of the site after sunset. When the lights illuminate the cliffs and statues, the grottoes take on a completely different appearance, creating a magical view combining history and scenery.

Later, visit Luoyang Museum, where you can learn more about the Heluo civilization and the city's role as one of China's most important ancient capitals. The museum houses valuable cultural relics that tell the story of thousands of years of Chinese history.

After the tour, your driver will transfer you back to your hotel.

Day 7 Luoyang: Yingtianmen, Mingtang, Paradise & Luoyi Ancient City

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, your guide will meet you at your hotel and take you into the heart of Luoyang's Sui and Tang Dynasty history.

Your first stop is Yingtianmen, the grand southern gate of the ancient Luoyang Imperial City. Once the entrance to the magnificent palace complex, this site witnessed important ceremonies during the Sui and Tang dynasties. Standing beneath the impressive structure, you can imagine the grandeur of ancient imperial celebrations and understand why Luoyang was chosen as a capital alongside Xi'an during China's most prosperous periods.

Continue to explore Mingtang and Paradise, reconstructed landmarks representing the imperial center of the Tang Dynasty. These buildings showcase the elegance and ambition of ancient Chinese palace architecture and provide insight into the political and cultural importance of Luoyang.

Enjoy a halal lunch at a carefully selected local restaurant before continuing the afternoon journey.

In the afternoon, explore Luoyi Ancient City, one of Luoyang's most charming historic areas. With traditional streets, ancient-style buildings, local shops, and cultural performances, it offers a relaxing way to experience the atmosphere of old Luoyang. You can also choose an optional Hanfu costume photography experience, dressing in traditional Chinese clothing and taking photos among the ancient streets. It is a fun way to connect with Chinese history while creating memorable travel moments.

After dinner, return to your hotel with your private transfer.

Day 8 Luoyang: White Horse Temple, Shaolin Temple & Departure

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel for the final day of your China Muslim cultural journey.

Your first visit is White Horse Temple, known as the first ancient Buddhist temple established in China. Founded nearly 2,000 years ago, this peaceful temple played an important role in the introduction and development of Buddhism in China. Walking through the temple grounds, you will discover traditional halls, ancient architecture, and a quiet atmosphere that contrasts beautifully with the busy city. Your guide will explain the history of Buddhist exchanges between China and other regions, including connections along the ancient Silk Road.

Enjoy a halal lunch before continuing to your final highlight — Shaolin Temple. Located at the foot of Songshan Mountain, Shaolin Temple is famous worldwide as the birthplace of Chinese Kung Fu. During your visit, you will explore the ancient temple complex, learn about Shaolin Buddhist culture, and watch an impressive Kung Fu performance by trained monks. You will also visit the Pagoda Forest, where many generations of Shaolin monks have been buried. The various stone pagodas standing among the trees create a peaceful and unique historical landscape.

After completing the tour, your driver will transfer you to Luoyang airport or train station according to your departure schedule. Our team will ensure your final transfer is smooth and comfortable, bringing your 8-day journey through China's ancient capitals and Muslim heritage to a memorable conclusion.

A Fascinating Glimpse into Shenzhen's Future with an Excellent Guide

We had a fantastic day exploring Shenzhen's technology scene, and it was one of the most memorable experiences of our trip to China.

Everything was very well organized, from the hotel pickup to the comfortable private vehicle. What we appreciated most was that the day never felt rushed. Our guide gave us plenty of time to experience each activity and was always happy to explain how the technology worked.

The driverless taxi was definitely a highlight. Sitting inside and watching the car navigate the city without a driver was both fascinating and slightly surreal! We also really enjoyed the hands-on robot experiences, especially trying the exoskeleton and interacting with the robot dog. Seeing a delivery drone actually arrive with food made the whole experience feel even more futuristic.

Our guide was wonderful throughout the day—knowledgeable, friendly, and with excellent English. She made the technology easy to understand without turning the tour into a technical lecture.

If you're looking for something beyond Shenzhen's usual sightseeing spots, we highly recommend this tour. It's a fun and very different way to experience how technology is shaping everyday life in the city.

The trains made the route surprisingly easy

We have just finished our 21-day trip through China, and it was an amazing experience from beginning to end. We saw so many different sides of the country — the pandas and relaxed atmosphere in Chengdu, the history of Xi'an, the energy of Chongqing, the incredible mountains in Zhangjiajie, and then the beautiful landscapes around Guilin and Yangshuo.

What made the trip much easier was the support from our guides and drivers in each destination. They were always on time, helpful with our luggage and transportation, and happy to answer questions. The drivers were particularly good at navigating busy city traffic and mountain roads, and we always felt safe in the cars.

The high-speed trains were comfortable, and having someone meet us at the stations took away a lot of the stress of traveling between cities. It was a long trip, but the pace worked well for us. There were busy sightseeing days, followed by some slower time to relax and explore on our own.

By the end, we were tired but very happy. China is much more diverse than we expected, and this trip gave us a wonderful introduction to it.

A Lovely Walk Through Old Qingdao

We had a very warm day for our tour, but everything was arranged so smoothly that the weather didn't cause any problems. Our guide, Elodie, was friendly and knew a lot about Qingdao's history. She gave us some background before each stop, which made the old buildings much more interesting instead of just looking at them from the outside.

Our driver was also excellent. He handled the city traffic confidently and we felt very comfortable throughout the day. The route was well planned, with enough time to walk around Badaguan, explore the Governor's House, and visit St. Michael's Church.

I especially liked Badaguan because of the old villas and tree-lined streets. It feels quite different from the busier parts of Qingdao. Overall, it was an easy and enjoyable way to discover the city's architectural heritage in a single day.

A Wonderful Introduction to Shandong's History and Culture

My wife and I have travelled to China several times, but this was our first time visiting Shandong. We wanted to see more than the usual big cities, and this three-day journey through Jinan, Qufu and Mount Tai turned out to be an excellent choice.

What I enjoyed most was the variety of the trip. Jinan has such a relaxed atmosphere, especially around the springs and old streets. It was fascinating to see how the spring water is still part of everyday life rather than simply something preserved for tourists. The city felt very different from Beijing or Shanghai, and we were glad to have included it.

Qufu gave us a completely different experience. I have always been interested in Chinese history and philosophy, so visiting the hometown of Confucius was particularly meaningful. The historic sites are impressive, but having someone explain the background and traditions made them much easier to appreciate. Without that context, I think we would have missed many of the details.

Mount Tai was the real finale of the trip. We knew there would be quite a bit of walking, but the combination of mountain scenery, ancient inscriptions and historic temples made the effort worthwhile. The views changed constantly as we went higher, and the atmosphere near the top was something I will remember for a long time.

I would also like to mention how smoothly everything was organized. Our driver was punctual, the car was comfortable, and all the transfers between cities were handled without any stress. After a full day of sightseeing, it was particularly nice to simply get into the car and know that everything had already been taken care of.

Our travel consultant was also extremely helpful during the planning stage. We had quite a few questions about the route, transportation and how much time we should allow for Mount Tai, and every question was answered patiently. The itinerary felt well balanced rather than rushed, which is important to us as we prefer to actually enjoy a place instead of simply collecting photographs.

This trip gave us a very different perspective on China. Jinan showed us the everyday charm of a city built around its springs, Qufu introduced us to one of the most influential figures in Chinese history, and Mount Tai brought together nature, religion and centuries of tradition.

For anyone interested in Chinese history and culture, I would certainly recommend spending a few days exploring this part of Shandong. It was a memorable journey, and one that felt very different from our previous trips to China.
