Terracotta Army Museum

Start your extraordinary ancient civilization journey with an early private hotel pickup. Our professional English guide will greet you on time and drive directly to the Terracotta Army Museum, skipping long-distance public transit and tourist crowds. Discovered in 1974, this world-famous UNESCO World Heritage Site is a grand underground military burial pit built for Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of China, showcasing the unparalleled grandeur of the Qin Dynasty imperial army and ancient Chinese craftsmanship.

Accompanied by your guide, you will visit Pit 1, Pit 2, Pit 3 and the exhibition hall in the most scientific viewing order. You will closely observe thousands of life-sized terracotta warriors and horses with distinct facial features, postures and costumes, fully appreciating the exquisite sculpting techniques and rigorous military hierarchy design of the Qin Dynasty over 2,200 years ago. The guide will vividly interpret the archaeological discovery process, military system, ancient burial culture and historical background behind the terracotta army, helping you truly understand why this site is hailed as the Eighth Wonder of the World.

Avoiding crowded peak hours and fixed group routes, we will arrange sufficient sightseeing time for you to take photos and appreciate details. After completing the in-depth heritage visit, we will take a private car to transfer back to the urban area for a authentic local lunch, replenishing energy for the afternoon creative handmade experience.

Terracotta Warrior DIY & Painting Class

After lunch and a short rest, we will arrive at a professional handmade art studio to start the core interactive experience of the day — terracotta warrior DIY and painting. This session perfectly echoes the morning's Terracotta Army visit, turning passive historical viewing into active artistic creation and deepening your understanding of ancient pottery craftsmanship.

Under the guidance of professional craft masters, you will experience the whole process of making miniature terracotta warriors. You can knead, shape and polish the clay by hand according to traditional Qin pottery techniques, and freely paint and color your exclusive terracotta figurine with rich pigments. There are no fixed standard styles, allowing you to give full play to your creativity and imagination to create unique works.

The guide will assist in real-time translation and introduce the inheritance of ancient Chinese pottery and sculpture art, connecting the historical knowledge of the Terracotta Army with practical handmade skills. After the creation is completed, your finished artwork can be taken home directly as a exclusive travel souvenir.  After the whole tour ends, our exclusive private car will safely send you back to your hotel, completing a unique journey of history learning and hands-on creation.

A Fascinating Glimpse into Shenzhen's Future with an Excellent Guide

We had a fantastic day exploring Shenzhen's technology scene, and it was one of the most memorable experiences of our trip to China.

Everything was very well organized, from the hotel pickup to the comfortable private vehicle. What we appreciated most was that the day never felt rushed. Our guide gave us plenty of time to experience each activity and was always happy to explain how the technology worked.

The driverless taxi was definitely a highlight. Sitting inside and watching the car navigate the city without a driver was both fascinating and slightly surreal! We also really enjoyed the hands-on robot experiences, especially trying the exoskeleton and interacting with the robot dog. Seeing a delivery drone actually arrive with food made the whole experience feel even more futuristic.

Our guide was wonderful throughout the day—knowledgeable, friendly, and with excellent English. She made the technology easy to understand without turning the tour into a technical lecture.

If you're looking for something beyond Shenzhen's usual sightseeing spots, we highly recommend this tour. It's a fun and very different way to experience how technology is shaping everyday life in the city.

The trains made the route surprisingly easy

We have just finished our 21-day trip through China, and it was an amazing experience from beginning to end. We saw so many different sides of the country — the pandas and relaxed atmosphere in Chengdu, the history of Xi'an, the energy of Chongqing, the incredible mountains in Zhangjiajie, and then the beautiful landscapes around Guilin and Yangshuo.

What made the trip much easier was the support from our guides and drivers in each destination. They were always on time, helpful with our luggage and transportation, and happy to answer questions. The drivers were particularly good at navigating busy city traffic and mountain roads, and we always felt safe in the cars.

The high-speed trains were comfortable, and having someone meet us at the stations took away a lot of the stress of traveling between cities. It was a long trip, but the pace worked well for us. There were busy sightseeing days, followed by some slower time to relax and explore on our own.

By the end, we were tired but very happy. China is much more diverse than we expected, and this trip gave us a wonderful introduction to it.

A Lovely Walk Through Old Qingdao

We had a very warm day for our tour, but everything was arranged so smoothly that the weather didn't cause any problems. Our guide, Elodie, was friendly and knew a lot about Qingdao's history. She gave us some background before each stop, which made the old buildings much more interesting instead of just looking at them from the outside.

Our driver was also excellent. He handled the city traffic confidently and we felt very comfortable throughout the day. The route was well planned, with enough time to walk around Badaguan, explore the Governor's House, and visit St. Michael's Church.

I especially liked Badaguan because of the old villas and tree-lined streets. It feels quite different from the busier parts of Qingdao. Overall, it was an easy and enjoyable way to discover the city's architectural heritage in a single day.

Thanks, Soren! We're happy you enjoyed the relaxed pace and the character of the historic neighborhoods. Qingdao has a lot of architectural details that are easy to miss, so we're glad you had the chance to explore them with us.

A Wonderful Introduction to Shandong's History and Culture

My wife and I have travelled to China several times, but this was our first time visiting Shandong. We wanted to see more than the usual big cities, and this three-day journey through Jinan, Qufu and Mount Tai turned out to be an excellent choice.

What I enjoyed most was the variety of the trip. Jinan has such a relaxed atmosphere, especially around the springs and old streets. It was fascinating to see how the spring water is still part of everyday life rather than simply something preserved for tourists. The city felt very different from Beijing or Shanghai, and we were glad to have included it.

Qufu gave us a completely different experience. I have always been interested in Chinese history and philosophy, so visiting the hometown of Confucius was particularly meaningful. The historic sites are impressive, but having someone explain the background and traditions made them much easier to appreciate. Without that context, I think we would have missed many of the details.

Mount Tai was the real finale of the trip. We knew there would be quite a bit of walking, but the combination of mountain scenery, ancient inscriptions and historic temples made the effort worthwhile. The views changed constantly as we went higher, and the atmosphere near the top was something I will remember for a long time.

I would also like to mention how smoothly everything was organized. Our driver was punctual, the car was comfortable, and all the transfers between cities were handled without any stress. After a full day of sightseeing, it was particularly nice to simply get into the car and know that everything had already been taken care of.

Our travel consultant was also extremely helpful during the planning stage. We had quite a few questions about the route, transportation and how much time we should allow for Mount Tai, and every question was answered patiently. The itinerary felt well balanced rather than rushed, which is important to us as we prefer to actually enjoy a place instead of simply collecting photographs.

This trip gave us a very different perspective on China. Jinan showed us the everyday charm of a city built around its springs, Qufu introduced us to one of the most influential figures in Chinese history, and Mount Tai brought together nature, religion and centuries of tradition.

For anyone interested in Chinese history and culture, I would certainly recommend spending a few days exploring this part of Shandong. It was a memorable journey, and one that felt very different from our previous trips to China.
