Your Huashan adventure begins with a private hotel pickup in Xi'an at 15:00. Upon arrival, your English-speaking guide will handle all ticket and cable car arrangements, saving you valuable time and avoiding long queues.

We'll take the West Peak Cable Car, one of the world's most spectacular mountain cable car rides, to ascend the mountain and soak in stunning panoramic views of dramatic granite peaks and deep winding valleys. After disembarking 2at West Peak, also known as Lotus Peak at 2,082.6 meters high, we will start our leisurely evening hike across Huashan's iconic summits. Here, you can explore the scenic Lotus Cave and legendary Axe-Splitting Rock, a famous landmark tied to the timeless local tale of "Chen Xiang Splits the Mountain to Save His Mother". Continuing onward, we will reach South Peak, standing at 2,154.9 meters, honored as the "Head of Huashan" and the highest summit among all of China's Five Great Mountains, boasting unrivaled panoramic mountain views. Adventure seekers can also try the world-famous Plank Walk in the Sky as an optional experience; this thrilling 30-centimeter wooden pathway clings to the sheer cliff face, with professional safety harnesses provided for a secure and exciting cliffside challenge.

As dusk falls, we'll continue our journey to East Peak (Chaoyang Peak, 2,096.2m), the best location for sunrise viewing. We'll check into East Peak Hotel, where you can rest, freshen up, and enjoy a simple yet satisfying dinner at the mountain restaurant while sharing stories about the day's adventures.

Early the next morning, you will rise before dawn to chase Huashan's breathtaking sunrise. Our guide will inform you of the accurate real-time sunrise time according to the seasonal weather conditions, and you only need a short 5-minute walk to reach Chaoyang Platform, the premier sunrise viewing spot on East Peak (Chaoyang Peak, 2,096.2m). Watch the sky transition gradually from deep twilight blue to warm orange and golden hues, as the sun slowly emerges above the rolling sea of clouds, gilding Huashan's jagged granite peaks and creating a stunning, once-in-a-lifetime natural spectacle. You can fully capture this magnificent scenery with your camera and immerse yourself in the tranquil and grand morning atmosphere of the sacred mountain.

After enjoying the stunning sunrise, we will embark on a leisurely morning exploration of the remaining iconic peaks. We will continue wandering around East Peak to discover its unique scenic charms, including the distinctive Eagle Wall and the renowned Huayue Immortal Palm rock formation, one of the Eight Great Sights of Guanzhong with profound natural and cultural value. Next, we will head to Central Peak, also named Jade Maiden Peak. Standing at 2,042.5 meters, this serene peak is covered in lush green vegetation and home to the ancient Jade Maiden Temple, where our guide will narrate the romantic legend of Princess Nongyu, adding vivid cultural connotations to your hiking journey. Thrill-seeking travelers can also take on the optional Sparrowhawk Flip, a famous cliffside trail that delivers an authentic Huashan adventurous experience.

In the late morning, we will gradually descend toward North Peak. Also known as Cloud Terrace Peak, it stands at 1,614 meters. Though the lowest among Huashan's five main peaks, it holds crucial strategic status in ancient mountain defense and culture. The hiking route leads you across classic Huashan trails, including the narrow and winding Canglong Ridge, with staggering sheer drops on both sides, and the unique Ear-Rubbing Cliff, a distinctive narrow passage that showcases the wonder and danger of Huashan's terrain. Upon reaching North Peak, you can visit and take photos with the iconic Huashan Sword Fight monument, a famous cultural landmark beloved by martial arts culture enthusiasts.

After a full morning of hiking and sightseeing, we will pause for a relaxing mountain lunch at a local peak restaurant. Taste hearty authentic mountain specialties to replenish your physical strength, while our professional guide shares interesting historical stories, geological knowledge and folk legends about Mount Huashan, letting you gain a deeper understanding of this ancient Taoist sacred mountain.

In the afternoon, we will start our descent from Huashan at a comfortable pace. We offer flexible travel arrangements tailored to your physical condition and personal preferences: you can choose the relaxed North Peak Cable Car descent to save energy, or opt for a partial hiking route to further experience the charm of Huashan's ancient trails. After finishing the whole exploration of the five peaks, our dedicated private car will be waiting at the Huashan Visitor Center, providing a safe and comfortable transfer service back to your Xi'an hotel, perfectly concluding your exclusive two-day Huashan sunrise and full peak hiking adventure.

What Our Travelers Say

The trains made the route surprisingly easy

I had never traveled around China by high-speed train before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Once we got the hang of it, it was actually one of the easiest parts of the trip. Having someone meet us at the stations was especially helpful because some of the stations are enormous. We could just get off the train, find our driver and move on.

Thanks, Marlowe! Glad to hear our train journeys turned out to be easier than expected. Those big stations can definitely feel a bit overwhelming at first, so it's great to hear that having our driver there made things smoother. Hope you enjoyed the rest of the trip!

A Photographer's Kind of Day

If you like old architecture, bring a camera. Badaguan was probably my favorite part because every street seemed to have a slightly different look. The church and railway station were also great photo stops. I liked that the tour wasn't only about famous sights — there was plenty of time to notice small details along the way.

Thanks, Soren! We're delighted that the architectural side of Qingdao caught your eye. The city has so many small details that are easy to miss when you're in a hurry.

Definitely earned its reputation

I knew Mount Tai would be the big highlight for me, but it was still better than expected. The views kept changing as we went higher, and there was something really special about seeing the old temples and inscriptions along the mountain. The whole trip was also very well organized. We had enough time at each place without feeling like we were constantly watching the clock.

Beautiful City, Bring Comfortable Shoes

We really enjoyed the tour, although there is definitely a fair amount of walking, so comfortable shoes are a must. The old streets were probably my favorite part because there was something interesting around every corner. Baotu Spring was busy when we visited, but the water itself was beautiful. Overall, it was a very nice way to see the central part of Jinan in one day.

Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful review and practical tip! We're glad you enjoyed the mix of Jinan's famous springs and quieter old streets. It was a pleasure to be part of your day in Jinan, and we hope you took home some lovely memories of the city.
