Arrive in Xi'an, the ancient capital of China and the starting point of the historic Silk Road. Your private guide and driver will meet you at the airport or train station and transfer you to your hotel.
After check-in and some time to relax, begin exploring Xi'an's historic city center.
Visit the Xi'an Ancient City Wall, one of the best-preserved ancient city walls in China. Walk along the broad top of the wall and admire views of the traditional city center and modern Xi'an. If you prefer a more active experience, you can rent a bicycle and cycle along the wall.
Continue to the lively Muslim Quarter, one of Xi'an's best places to experience local food and traditional street life. Wander through the narrow streets lined with food stalls and shops, and discover local specialties such as roujiamo, biangbiang noodles, dumplings, and other Xi'an snacks.
In the evening, return to your hotel for a relaxing night.
After breakfast, meet your guide and drive to the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, approximately 1–1.5 hours from central Xi'an.
Explore the famous archaeological site where thousands of life-size terracotta soldiers, horses, chariots, and weapons were buried to protect Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of unified China, in the afterlife.
Visit the main excavation pits, including Pit 1, the largest and most impressive pit, where rows of terracotta warriors remain standing in battle formation. Your guide will explain the discovery, restoration process, military formations, and history behind this extraordinary archaeological site.
After lunch at a local restaurant, return to Xi'an.
In the afternoon, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, one of Xi'an's most recognizable Buddhist landmarks. Originally built during the Tang Dynasty, the pagoda played an important role in the translation and preservation of Buddhist scriptures brought from India.
Take a leisurely walk around the surrounding area and enjoy the atmosphere of this historic part of Xi'an.
Return to your hotel in the evening.
After breakfast, leave Xi'an for Mount Huashan, located approximately 120 kilometers east of Xi'an.
Upon arrival, transfer to the scenic area and begin your mountain adventure. Huashan is famous for its steep cliffs, dramatic granite peaks, narrow mountain paths, and spectacular panoramic views.
Take the cable car to the mountain area, then explore the scenic trails according to your preferred pace and physical condition.
The main peaks include North Peak, which is known for its distinctive shape and panoramic views, East Peak, a popular viewpoint and famous location for sunrise, South Peak, the highest peak of Mount Huashan and one of the highlights of the mountain, West Peak, famous for its dramatic cliffs and beautiful scenery, and Central Peak, a smaller but scenic peak connecting several major routes.
Walk along the mountain trails and enjoy views of towering cliffs, deep valleys, rugged rock formations, and surrounding mountains.
For adventurous travelers, Huashan also offers several famous steep paths and cliffside sections. These areas can be challenging, so visitors should follow safety regulations and choose routes appropriate for their fitness level.
After sightseeing, check into your hotel near Mount Huashan and relax.
If weather and operating conditions permit, early risers can choose to visit a scenic viewpoint to experience the sunrise over Mount Huashan.
After breakfast, continue exploring the mountain or take the cable car down from the scenic area.
Meet your private driver and return to Xi'an.
Depending on your departure schedule, you can be transferred directly to Xi'an Airport or Xi'an Railway Station for your onward journey.
Your four-day Xi'an and Mount Huashan adventure ends with a combination of ancient history, traditional culture, and spectacular mountain scenery.
