Terracotta Army & Lishan Garden

Private car picks you up from your Xi'an hotel and drives 1 hour smoothly to Lintong to start an in-depth exploration of the Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum, a world-famous UNESCO Qin cultural heritage and core landmark of Qin's underground imperial mausoleum complex. During the visit, you will explore three iconic terracotta warrior pits showcasing the prosperity of the Qin unified empire: Pit 1 presents a complete infantry-cavalry battle formation, Pit 2 displays diverse mixed arms and well-preserved painted terracotta figures including the famous kneeling archer, and Pit 3 serves as the top military command center, fully demonstrating the Qin Dynasty's sophisticated military system, exquisite realistic sculpting craftsmanship and unique ancient funeral concept of "treating death as life". You will also visit the Bronze Chariots Exhibition Hall to admire two unearthed Qin bronze carriages featuring delicate gold and silver inlay techniques, representing the top-level metal art craftsmanship of Qin royal burial culture. End the sightseeing at Lishan Garden by heading to the viewing platform to overlook the grand Mausoleum Mound of Emperor Qin Shi Huang, which was built against Lishan Mountain as recorded in historical documents, while your guide elaborates on the imperial mausoleum layout, traditional Fengshui planning and large-scale national construction feats of the Qin Dynasty.

Huaqing Palace & Lishan Mountain

After lunch, enjoy a short 5-minute private transfer to Huaqing Palace and Lishan Mountain, an important scenic cluster carrying profound Qin royal mountain resort and geomantic culture. Boasting a history of over 2,200 years, the site preserves the original ruins of Qin Lishan Tang Hot Spring, built by Emperor Qin Shi Huang as his exclusive royal hot spring retreat, where you can learn about Qin royal leisure culture and related historical stories. Take convenient scenic shuttle buses for a low-intensity tour of Lishan Mountain with gentle flat trails, skipping strenuous hiking; visit the ancient Qin-founded Old Mother Hall and pre-Qin beacon tower ruins, and stand on the mountain viewing platform to overlook the entire Qin mausoleum basin. Your guide will sort out the complete Qin cultural landscape chain, with Lishan as the imperial geomantic sacred mountain, Huaqing Palace as the royal hot spring resort, and the Terracotta Army as the underground burial guard army. Finally, appreciate the famous Lishan Sunset, enjoying the stunning layered mountain glow that made this land the ideal geomantic location for Emperor Qin Shi Huang's eternal mausoleum.

After a day of exploring Qin culture, our private car will take you back to the hotel or high-speed railway station, ending our one-day trip to Xi'an.

What Our Travelers Say

The trains made the route surprisingly easy

I had never traveled around China by high-speed train before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Once we got the hang of it, it was actually one of the easiest parts of the trip. Having someone meet us at the stations was especially helpful because some of the stations are enormous. We could just get off the train, find our driver and move on.

Thanks, Marlowe! Glad to hear our train journeys turned out to be easier than expected. Those big stations can definitely feel a bit overwhelming at first, so it's great to hear that having our driver there made things smoother. Hope you enjoyed the rest of the trip!

A Photographer's Kind of Day

If you like old architecture, bring a camera. Badaguan was probably my favorite part because every street seemed to have a slightly different look. The church and railway station were also great photo stops. I liked that the tour wasn't only about famous sights — there was plenty of time to notice small details along the way.

Thanks, Soren! We're delighted that the architectural side of Qingdao caught your eye. The city has so many small details that are easy to miss when you're in a hurry.

Definitely earned its reputation

I knew Mount Tai would be the big highlight for me, but it was still better than expected. The views kept changing as we went higher, and there was something really special about seeing the old temples and inscriptions along the mountain. The whole trip was also very well organized. We had enough time at each place without feeling like we were constantly watching the clock.

Beautiful City, Bring Comfortable Shoes

We really enjoyed the tour, although there is definitely a fair amount of walking, so comfortable shoes are a must. The old streets were probably my favorite part because there was something interesting around every corner. Baotu Spring was busy when we visited, but the water itself was beautiful. Overall, it was a very nice way to see the central part of Jinan in one day.

Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful review and practical tip! We're glad you enjoyed the mix of Jinan's famous springs and quieter old streets. It was a pleasure to be part of your day in Jinan, and we hope you took home some lovely memories of the city.
