Accommodation: 
Meal: Depart from your downtown hotel by private vehicle in the morning, and first head to Yongding Gate, the southern starting landmark of Beijing Central Axis. Spend around 1 hour touring this restored Ming city tower. Walk along the south axis square to admire the symmetrical city gate layout, listen to the guide's introduction of the axis's origin and ancient capital city defense system, and capture wide-angle shots of the southern axis landmark.
Drive north for 20 minutes to reach Tiananmen Square. Plan roughly 1.5 hours to wander the world's largest urban square. Visit the national flag pole, Monument to the People's Heroes and Chairman Mao Memorial Hall exterior, appreciate the grand symmetrical layout facing Tiananmen Gate, and feel the solemn atmosphere of Beijing's central political and cultural core.
Pass through Tiananmen Gate to enter the Forbidden City (Palace Museum). Set aside three full hours for in-depth exploration. Roam the outer court ceremonial halls and inner royal living palaces, admire golden glazed roof, red palace walls and delicate ancient wooden Dougong structures. The guide explains Ming and Qing royal life, palace layout and precious cultural relics, and leads you to classic photography spots along the central palace corridor.
Walk a short distance east to Jingshan Park. Spend about 1.5 hours climbing gently uphill to Wanchun Pavilion, the highest peak on Beijing's central axis. Drive 15 minutes to the northern axis terminal: Drum Tower and Bell Tower. Allocate around 1.5 hours to visit the twin ancient time-telling towers. Climb up to view the giant ancient drum and bronze bell, learn how ancient Beijing told time for residents hundreds of years ago. Wander the surrounding hutong blocks to experience the old Beijing northern axis folk atmosphere.
After finishing all heritage spots, take your private car back to downtown hotel, concluding a systematic in-depth tour of Beijing Central Axis World Heritage.
