Your private vehicle will take you directly to your hotel in Shanghai. Our team will help you with luggage and provide a short introduction to the upcoming journey, including transportation tips, local recommendations, and practical information for your stay.

Day 2 | Shanghai: The Bund, Yu Garden, French Concession & Tianzifang

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast at your hotel, your Shanghai private guide and driver will meet you in the lobby and start your first full-day exploration of the city. Shanghai is a city of contrasts. Within one day, you can walk beside futuristic skyscrapers, step into centuries-old gardens, and discover quiet streets lined with European-style buildings.

Your journey begins at Yu Garden, a classical Chinese garden hidden in the middle of the bustling old city. Your guide will help you understand the traditional garden design, from carefully arranged rocks and ponds to the cultural meanings behind each detail.

After exploring the garden area, you'll enjoy a local lunch at a carefully selected restaurant. We choose restaurants based on quality, location, and authentic local flavors, allowing you to experience Shanghai cuisine without wasting time searching.

In the afternoon, continue to The Bund, Shanghai's most famous waterfront. Standing beside the Huangpu River, you'll see the perfect contrast between historic colonial buildings and the modern skyline of Pudong. Your guide will share stories behind Shanghai's transformation from a small port city into one of the world's most influential financial centers.

Later, discover the charming streets of the Former French Concession and Tianzifang, where tree-lined roads, old residential buildings, cafés, and small art shops create a completely different atmosphere from downtown Shanghai.

At the end of the day, your driver will take you back comfortably to your hotel.

Day 3 | Shanghai: Zhujiajiao Water Town

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

Today, escape the fast pace of Shanghai and travel to Zhujiajiao Water Town, one of the most beautiful ancient towns near the city.

After breakfast, your private driver will pick you up from your hotel. The journey takes around one hour, giving you a chance to see the changing scenery from modern Shanghai neighborhoods to traditional Jiangnan countryside.

Known as the "Venice of Shanghai," Zhujiajiao is famous for its peaceful waterways, stone bridges, and well-preserved Ming and Qing Dynasty architecture. Walking through the old streets, you'll discover traditional houses along the canals, local food shops, and historic bridges that have witnessed hundreds of years of daily life. Unlike crowded city attractions, Zhujiajiao offers a slower rhythm where you can truly experience the charm of southern China's water towns. Your guide will take you beyond the typical photo spots and introduce local stories, traditional customs, and hidden corners that many first-time visitors miss.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant featuring Jiangnan specialties before continuing your relaxed exploration.

After the tour, your driver will return you to Shanghai hotel.

Day 4 | Shanghai to Huangshan by High-Speed Train: Huangshan Mountain Experience

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, your driver will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station. Today you will experience China's famous high-speed railway system. The train journey from Shanghai to Huangshan takes approximately 3–4 hours, offering a comfortable and efficient way to travel between destinations.

Upon arrival at Huangshan North Railway Station, your local driver will meet you and transfer you to Huangshan Scenic Area.

Before entering the mountain area, you'll have lunch at a local restaurant where you can taste Anhui cuisine, known for its simple ingredients and rich flavors.

In the afternoon, begin your Huangshan experience. Depending on your arrival time and physical condition, your guide will arrange the best route, helping you enjoy the scenery without unnecessary walking.

Huangshan is famous for its strange pine trees, unique granite peaks, sea of clouds, and ever-changing mountain views. Every turn of the mountain path offers a different landscape, which is why it has inspired countless Chinese painters and poets throughout history.

After enjoying the mountain atmosphere, stay overnight near Huangshan Scenic Area, allowing you to start the next day early and catch the best views.

Day 5 | Huangshan: Mountain Sunrise Experience, Huangshan to Beijing by High-Speed Train

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

Wake up early today for one of Huangshan's most unforgettable moments — sunrise over the mountains. Your guide will choose the best viewing location based on weather conditions and seasonal sunrise time. Watching the first sunlight illuminate the peaks and clouds is an experience that makes the early morning effort completely worthwhile.

After breakfast, continue exploring Huangshan's highlights, including famous viewpoints and scenic walking routes. Your guide will adjust the pace according to your fitness level, making sure you enjoy the mountain without feeling rushed.

After descending from Huangshan, your driver will transfer you to Huangshan North Railway Station. Take a high-speed train from Huangshan to Beijing. During the journey, you can relax and watch the scenery change from mountain landscapes to northern China's plains.

Upon arrival in Beijing, our driver will meet you at the station and transfer you to your hotel.

Day 6 | Beijing: Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square & Traditional Hutongs

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

Your Beijing adventure begins today with a private guide and driver meeting you at your hotel. As China's ancient capital for centuries, Beijing is filled with stories hidden behind magnificent architecture. Today you'll explore the city's most important historical landmarks.

Start with Tiananmen Square, one of the world's largest public squares, before entering the spectacular Forbidden City. Walking through the former imperial palace, you'll discover the impressive halls, courtyards, and traditions of China's emperors. Your guide will help bring the history to life, explaining not only what you see but also the meaning behind the architecture and royal customs.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to explore Beijing's traditional neighborhoods. A visit to the old hutongs allows you to see another side of Beijing — quiet alleyways, traditional courtyard homes, and everyday local life.

After the tour, your driver will take you back to your hotel.

Day 7 | Beijing: Mutianyu Great Wall

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast at your hotel, your private guide and driver will meet you in the lobby and take you to one of the most iconic landmarks in China — the Mutianyu Great Wall.

Located about 1.5 hours from central Beijing, Mutianyu is widely considered one of the best sections of the Great Wall for a private tour. Compared with the more crowded sections, it offers a more peaceful atmosphere, better-preserved watchtowers, and beautiful mountain views stretching into the distance. Your private vehicle allows you to avoid the inconvenience of public transportation, and your guide will help you make the most of your time on the wall.

As you arrive at the scenic area, you'll take a comfortable shuttle bus and cable car (optional) up to the Great Wall. Standing on the ancient stone pathway, surrounded by rolling mountains, you'll have a chance to appreciate why this incredible structure has been admired for centuries. Your guide will share the stories behind the Great Wall — from its military purpose and construction history to the legends that have been passed down through generations. Instead of simply walking from one viewpoint to another, we will arrange a suitable route based on your interests and physical condition. Whether you prefer a relaxed walk with plenty of photo stops or want to explore more watchtowers and enjoy wider mountain views, your guide will adjust the pace to make the experience comfortable.

After exploring the Great Wall, enjoy a relaxing lunch at a local restaurant near the scenic area. We carefully select restaurants that offer authentic local flavors in a comfortable environment, allowing you to experience northern Chinese cuisine after your morning adventure.

In the afternoon, return to Beijing at a comfortable pace. Depending on your energy level and interests, you may choose to stop at a nearby scenic viewpoint or enjoy some free time back at your hotel.

Day 8 | Beijing: Temple of Heaven & Local Beijing Life

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast at your hotel, your private guide and driver will meet you in the lobby and take you to explore another side of Beijing — a city where imperial traditions, local neighborhoods, and everyday life continue to blend together. While the Forbidden City and the Great Wall show you the grandeur of China's past, today's journey is designed to help you understand the more personal side of Beijing. You'll discover the places where ancient rituals were performed, walk through historic neighborhoods, and experience the slower rhythm of local life.

Your first stop is the magnificent Temple of Heaven, one of Beijing's most remarkable architectural treasures. Built during the Ming Dynasty, this vast complex was once where emperors held ceremonies to pray for good harvests and communicate with heaven. Unlike a typical sightseeing visit, your guide will help you understand the meaning behind the unique circular architecture, symbolic colors, and traditional beliefs that shaped this important imperial site.

Beyond the famous buildings, you'll also have the chance to see local life around the Temple of Heaven. In the morning, many Beijing residents gather here to exercise, practice Tai Chi, play traditional instruments, or socialize with friends. This creates a completely different atmosphere from the grand historical landmarks and gives you a glimpse into how locals enjoy their daily lives.

After your visit, enjoy lunch at a carefully selected local restaurant. Our team chooses restaurants based on authentic flavors, comfortable surroundings, and convenient locations, so you can enjoy Beijing cuisine without spending time searching for the right place. Depending on your preference, you can try classic local dishes and experience flavors that are different from the food you have enjoyed in Shanghai or Huangshan.

To make your final day more personal, the afternoon schedule can be adjusted according to your interests. If you enjoy culture and history, your guide can introduce more historical sites; if you prefer a relaxed ending, you can spend more time exploring local streets, enjoying coffee, or shopping for souvenirs.

After the tour, your driver will transfer you comfortably back to your hotel. Enjoy your final evening in Beijing before your departure the following day.

Day 9 | Beijing Departure

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, enjoy a comfortable morning before your departure. According to your flight schedule, our driver will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Beijing airport.

Your 9-day journey through Shanghai, Huangshan, and Beijing comes to an end. From modern city life to ancient mountains and imperial history, we hope this trip has given you a deeper understanding of China beyond the typical sightseeing route.

A Fascinating Glimpse into Shenzhen's Future with an Excellent Guide

We had a fantastic day exploring Shenzhen's technology scene, and it was one of the most memorable experiences of our trip to China.

Everything was very well organized, from the hotel pickup to the comfortable private vehicle. What we appreciated most was that the day never felt rushed. Our guide gave us plenty of time to experience each activity and was always happy to explain how the technology worked.

The driverless taxi was definitely a highlight. Sitting inside and watching the car navigate the city without a driver was both fascinating and slightly surreal! We also really enjoyed the hands-on robot experiences, especially trying the exoskeleton and interacting with the robot dog. Seeing a delivery drone actually arrive with food made the whole experience feel even more futuristic.

Our guide was wonderful throughout the day—knowledgeable, friendly, and with excellent English. She made the technology easy to understand without turning the tour into a technical lecture.

If you're looking for something beyond Shenzhen's usual sightseeing spots, we highly recommend this tour. It's a fun and very different way to experience how technology is shaping everyday life in the city.

The trains made the route surprisingly easy

We have just finished our 21-day trip through China, and it was an amazing experience from beginning to end. We saw so many different sides of the country — the pandas and relaxed atmosphere in Chengdu, the history of Xi'an, the energy of Chongqing, the incredible mountains in Zhangjiajie, and then the beautiful landscapes around Guilin and Yangshuo.

What made the trip much easier was the support from our guides and drivers in each destination. They were always on time, helpful with our luggage and transportation, and happy to answer questions. The drivers were particularly good at navigating busy city traffic and mountain roads, and we always felt safe in the cars.

The high-speed trains were comfortable, and having someone meet us at the stations took away a lot of the stress of traveling between cities. It was a long trip, but the pace worked well for us. There were busy sightseeing days, followed by some slower time to relax and explore on our own.

By the end, we were tired but very happy. China is much more diverse than we expected, and this trip gave us a wonderful introduction to it.

A Lovely Walk Through Old Qingdao

We had a very warm day for our tour, but everything was arranged so smoothly that the weather didn't cause any problems. Our guide, Elodie, was friendly and knew a lot about Qingdao's history. She gave us some background before each stop, which made the old buildings much more interesting instead of just looking at them from the outside.

Our driver was also excellent. He handled the city traffic confidently and we felt very comfortable throughout the day. The route was well planned, with enough time to walk around Badaguan, explore the Governor's House, and visit St. Michael's Church.

I especially liked Badaguan because of the old villas and tree-lined streets. It feels quite different from the busier parts of Qingdao. Overall, it was an easy and enjoyable way to discover the city's architectural heritage in a single day.

A Wonderful Introduction to Shandong's History and Culture

My wife and I have travelled to China several times, but this was our first time visiting Shandong. We wanted to see more than the usual big cities, and this three-day journey through Jinan, Qufu and Mount Tai turned out to be an excellent choice.

What I enjoyed most was the variety of the trip. Jinan has such a relaxed atmosphere, especially around the springs and old streets. It was fascinating to see how the spring water is still part of everyday life rather than simply something preserved for tourists. The city felt very different from Beijing or Shanghai, and we were glad to have included it.

Qufu gave us a completely different experience. I have always been interested in Chinese history and philosophy, so visiting the hometown of Confucius was particularly meaningful. The historic sites are impressive, but having someone explain the background and traditions made them much easier to appreciate. Without that context, I think we would have missed many of the details.

Mount Tai was the real finale of the trip. We knew there would be quite a bit of walking, but the combination of mountain scenery, ancient inscriptions and historic temples made the effort worthwhile. The views changed constantly as we went higher, and the atmosphere near the top was something I will remember for a long time.

I would also like to mention how smoothly everything was organized. Our driver was punctual, the car was comfortable, and all the transfers between cities were handled without any stress. After a full day of sightseeing, it was particularly nice to simply get into the car and know that everything had already been taken care of.

Our travel consultant was also extremely helpful during the planning stage. We had quite a few questions about the route, transportation and how much time we should allow for Mount Tai, and every question was answered patiently. The itinerary felt well balanced rather than rushed, which is important to us as we prefer to actually enjoy a place instead of simply collecting photographs.

This trip gave us a very different perspective on China. Jinan showed us the everyday charm of a city built around its springs, Qufu introduced us to one of the most influential figures in Chinese history, and Mount Tai brought together nature, religion and centuries of tradition.

For anyone interested in Chinese history and culture, I would certainly recommend spending a few days exploring this part of Shandong. It was a memorable journey, and one that felt very different from our previous trips to China.
